Super Inn Motel

When you stay at a roadside motel for a cheap price you don't expect much.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Yes, it is old and run down BUT it is clean.  CLEAN  The beds were more comfortable then many of the high-end hotels we have stayed at, the air conditioner worked without sounding like an old lady chain smoking.  And it was quiet.    If you need to bells and whistles to be happy, drive on by.  But if you just want a good sleep to continue on the road this place is just fine.

When reviewing a book, I try to keep to what the author set out to do. For example, I wouldn't criticize a book on 20th-century British history for its failure to address 19th-century German history. The same goes for motels. The Super Inn is certainly no luxury or mid-range motel, but it doesn't set out to be either of those. For $40 + tax, it offers a clean room with maybe a bit of an off scent, a functioning and surprisingly quiet A/C, a reasonable bed, bathroom, TV, fridge, and Wi-Fi. There's a good running ice machine in the corner. The biggest weakness was the feeble and intermittent Wi-Fi connection. So 4 stars, not for luxury but for achieving what it sets out to be: a cheap place to sleep off the road.

Clean and quiet.

Good budget hotel

We did not plan to stop in Dumas but riding a motorcycle with an imminent thunderstorm about to hit we had to make a choice fast. We literally saw the special sign and it was the cheapest we could find in such a short space of time. So you really do get what you pay for with budget motels. If we had more time to look around we probably would have found one with a better value. The room could have been better looked after but was clean. The lady at reception was not friendly though and we have generally had better experiences in small towns in the US even in a budget motel. Don't expect much.

Budget: You get what you pay for

I saw the "$39.50" sign & whipped in for the night, knowing not to expect a lot for that price. Two full-size beds, one with all kinds of hair on the sheet. Luckily the other bed was relatively clean. Not a whole of effort was put into remodelling, either. But it was quiet, as there were only two other vehicles in the parking lot. You get what you pay for.

Run. This place is disgusting. I booked when I arrived in Dumas. First motel/hotel I saw when my drive time need to quit. Left Galveston to there. They put me in a room to which I’d call the call girl special. I’m assuming because I arrived at a crappie motel, tired. Got room 153. See the pics. Disgusting. Went to the Walmart very close by and bought disinfectant, wipes, but g spray. Once you pay for a room, you pay. If you arrive at this motel, tell them you want to see the room first. Yes, it’s that bad. They put me in room 153. Long story short, after sanitizing everything, took a shower. After, being on the phone with a friend, my personal pillow flew three inches. I took a video of the room as well as pictures. Haunted and disgusting. See the photos. I’ve never seen graffiti in a motel/hotel room.

Just needed a place to sleep on a road trip. I don't expect much, and that is exactly what I got. Econo Lodge, like other low cost motels, vary greatly from city to city. This one was OK, nothing terrible, but nothing very good or noteworthy either.

I guess you get what you pay for

Horrible Motel.The owner is very rude to guests the rooms are dirty and dungy, the towels smell like moth balls, covers and sheets have burns all over them, beds are hard and springy. Completely disgusting too expensive for the quality for a little more you could stay in a better Hotel.
