Mountain Vista Hotel

This hotel near a horse ranch and backdropped by mountains was a pleasant and affordable setting for our week at Yellowstone. The drive to Yellowstone's west gate was about 10 minutes away and went through a small resort town that offered all the necessary amenities and good dining and shopping. A leather chair in the hotel's beautifully decorated lobby was where I snuggled in each evening to process photos from the day's adventures. The staff members were a delight to talk to and had intimate knowledge of the area. I loved the cinnamon rolls and my husband enjoyed the waffle maker at breakfast.

Everything was great. Bed could have been a little more comfortable and breakfast could use Moore hot foods like bacon and eggs otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The building was clean, easy to use, great quality, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful, the staff went out of their way for us, breakfast was great, coffee and tea available in lobby all day, liked the location it wasn’t in town but it wasn’t very far away, nice view from location, lobby is very nice, overall great stay would stay there again.

Great check in. Sam at the desk was very helpful. Made sure we were comfortable with the fire pit outside and the lights turned on. Would definitely recommend hotel to friends.

The staff was very welcoming when we first got there and were a wealth of information to help us decide what to do. The lobby was cute and inviting. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the facility is that it is quite loud when people are hanging out in the lobby (although our room was quite close to the lobby) and the shower head was not good. Other than that it was amazing. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This location was very unique in the sense that it gives the traveler a mix of modern amenities in your room, but reminded that you are minutes away from yellowstone its lobby reminds the visitor  of comforting cabin like setting and the communical outdoor areas at this location  gives you rhe amazing colors and views of the mountains and so forth.

We stayed at Mountain Vista Hotel in West Yellowstone and found it to be a great spot for our trip. The hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes outside of town, making it easy to access Yellowstone Park. Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were a bit on the small side, but since we spent most of our time exploring the park, it was perfectly fine for a place to sleep. The only challenge was that the hotel is a little hard to spot from the road, especially after dark, so keep an eye out for the turn. Overall, a good, simple stay for park visitors.

We liked the proximity to West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable.We had a room with an adjoining door. We could hear our neighbors' TV and could even understand their conversations. Luckily they settled down around the time we did, but it felt quite intrusive.

The staff was amazing from check in to check out. They were super helpful and very friendly. Also the amenities were above and beyond what we expected from the larger mini fridge and ample storage in the room to the breakfast choices with 24 hour coffee. Our room and the public areas were super clean, I have never seen a cleaner laundry area! We will be sure to recommend to all our friends.

Wonderful stay for 3 nights very close to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Great staff who were all super helpful and responsive to everything. Beds were super comfortable and roomy. Room was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was free with plenty of options. We would stay here again for sure!

Stayed in Mountain Vista for 5 days for my recent family trip. Love the place for the helpful staff. The location is good , 10 mins from west entrance. The only suggestion I have is to have one more microwave in the breakfast areas as most people are trying to get the breakfast around the same time and heading to the NP.

My mixed emotions about this place. Loved the area.  Staff is super friendly, they have breakfast included, is this area it saves you a few bucks. Rooms are renovated, clean linens, towels with all the essentials.  Coffee maker, microwave and fridge. They also have a laundry facility which is super convenient. Entrance to Yellowstone National Park is just minutes away. Lots of beautiful shops at a short drive. Just because it looks separated from the town on the map doesn't mean anything.  It literally takes you 6 to 7 minutes to get there.The only negative thing I have to mention about it:(there's nothing anyone can do to change it) This place is loud. We stayed on the first floor, and we could hear the people walking on the hallway, the sound of the water running in other rooms, and the morning and night buzz. It doesn't mean it's the same on the second floor I'm just giving my personal opinion. Now, that doesn't mean we had a bad time as we stayed in this place, it was just worth the mention. There's a small lake only a few minutes away, my husband and I really enjoyed the drive going there. Over all a really nice experience.
