My wife, Judy, is a graduate of Spartanburg High School and we stayed two days at the Spartanburg Marriott hotel recently to enjoy it.
The beautiful entryway, huge lobby is a marble-lover's dream. Also, near the restaurant/bar entrance is a lovely geometrically stunning floor.
The staff was delightful, helpful and courteous.
But there was one unusual thing I particularly enjoyed: the very strong water pressure in our room, made showering a pleasure, not a chore. Perhaps the 6" wide Kohler shower head made the experience even better!
Complimentary Wall Street Journal newspapers, free underground parking, delightful bar area, easy access to the downtown shopping district and more.
If you don't like this place, you probably just don't like travel!

Highly recommend this place for rest or business . Good bar, rooms, workout room, view and restaurant - great show shine guy!

This place is great for wedding receptions and proms as well as private parties

The hotel has all the amenities you’d be looking for when traveling. The gym, restaurant, bar, and M club are all fantastic. The employees have a high level of customer service and they truly make you feel like you’re at home when traveling. It is a large hotel in the center of town with many great restaurants within walking distance.

Wonderful location, nice hotel layout with plenty of amenities and a wonderful, friendly, outgoing staff from the front desk to room cleaning staff.. 

Restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. If you are looking for a place to stay  around Spartanburg,  this is a great location.

I came for a wedding over labor day weekend. Parking is great and having seen most of them EV owners can charge  easily. Parking is free too! Elevators have voice announcements and chimes that aren’t loud enough, this is something I think could easily be changed in settings. Destination dispatch might help. The pool looks nice and while I did go to the area I did not ever swim in it. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in although the room felt a little plain. Some relatives of mine were in the presidential suite and it is very nice. Views are excellent too. The vending machines were rather inconsistent. There’s a different selection on each floor. WiFi is free for Marriott Bonvoy members and I found it plenty fast. Overall it’s good and functional. To decide which is better next time I go here I’ll likely stay at the only real competition (the AC hotel).

Get away with nieces and nephew for a Christmas in July!  So much fun and staff was so great !!!  First they upgraded us to a bigger room for us and 3 little ones .  Even made the horse shoe course into a sandbox (might want to add one, have  plenty of room!!)Had an amazing time at the pool with the Shag club other other clubs and they all took care of us .  Love 💕 this hotel and it’s walking distance to Main Street if you need to leave .  We didn’t !!!

In distress due to car break down on the interstate while traveling from Florida to Indiana and had to get towed off the interstate and  stayed at this beautiful hotel the manager Victoria was great and understood that i had a bad 36 hours upon arrival at her property welcome me in and tried to make me feel comfortable and welcome to the hotel.  I was.  It was great. She and most of the staff was so good that they need an award. It was so good with all the bad hotels to get to a hotel that remembers the need and importance of guest. In 35 years that i had driven thru this area and only stopped for gas and bathroom on the interstate and did not know the class of a great hotel as this one. Under stress the bed was not too good but did not  get a good night  sleep on the couch, but the service from Victoria was so good. I did not meet her, but i spoke to her on the phone and she made me feel good and welcome. Still stranded in a different state and the quality of service and level of this hotel and no where near the quality and service that i got from this hotel. Folks, this hotel is a class act with great food and great service. Victoria is wonderful.

We stayed two nights.  Comfortable rooms.  Nice desk area, electric plugs near bed.  Beautiful common areas.  Be a good location for a conference or wedding.  

My only complaint was lack of glassware in room. 

We were in town for one night. The staff was wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We went to the lounge in the evening and had wonderful cocktails and their amazing version of an ice cream sandwich with the best banana nut bread ever!!! Great Starbucks coffee in the morning and very convenient underground parking !

We recently stayed at this hotel.  It was our second time in about 4 months period between stays.  In the fall we sat out on the veranda and Earnest made recommendations on appetisers and we had a great time.  Just a week ago we stayed again and got to enjoy the new M Club which was one of the best we have seen.   We had a nice corner room and due to Titanium level we got an awesome breakfast with foods cooked the way we like them.    One thing we noticed was how nice the employees were to each other and how supportive they were of each other.  One lady said she had been there 17 years and said the bad apples got tossed.  Being lifetime Titanium I have stayed at alot of Marriotts.  This one is a gem.

Christmas in July !!!

Spent three nights at this hotel for a national convention.This hotel is a typical convention hotel with  fairly large ballrooms and meeting spaces.     The front office staff were very friendly during check in and check out.  The food that was served for dinner was decent. My room was clean and I had great stay. I highly recommend the Jamican resteraunt next store.

Convention Hotel 

Recently stayed at the Spartanburg Marriott for two nights.  The hotel appears to be a little older, but is well maintained.  We stayed in a King room with a nice view of Spartanburg.  There was a small fridge. The bed was super comfortable and the room was spacious.  There was a full-size sofa in the room.  The bathroom was large and the shower was fantastic.  Just the right amount of water pressure and hot water.

Housekeeping was not offered, which I prefer, but it would have been nice to have some extra towels already in the room.

The heating/air in my room never worked.  The fan wouldn't even kick on, so I was a little hot when sleeping.  I was gone most the day, otherwise I would have had maintenance check it out.  I didn't want to have someone enter my room when I wasn't there.

My biggest complaint, aside from the hot room, was the lack of luggage carts.  We had to make two trips from the garage just to get our things to our room.  With no bellperson available, the property should invest in extra carts for the convenience of its guests.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay.  I appreciated being able to walk over to local restaurants and I could easily get to my even venue, bank and grocery store.  I would definitely stay here again.

Nice Stay

PROS:

Everything was perfect! Except the weather could have been cooler. 

Our room was a corner room with a large space and large bathroom. We did not use the hotels room service or restaurant. The pool was refreshing and usually not very busy at all. The elevators to the main floor, our floor and to the pool were clean and marked clearly for covid precautions.

There was enough parking under the facility in the garage. There usually was clean trash bins. Occasionally they were filled and over flowing. The grounds were beautiful. Service was A+.

CONS:

The pool was never open at 8 am. There were times that the pool didn't open until 11am and required us a few times to call or visit the front desk to enter the pool. 

There was poor ventilation in the first floor garage lobby and in the hallways to the rooms. Which made it a very long exhausting walk to the pool (which took 2 elevators to get to). But the second floor garage lobby was well ventilated and cool. It was never a quick walk from the garage to the room and then to the pool. Most times we tested before going to the pool.

The areas that used to be their outdoor dining were unkept. For 3 nights in a row the same glasses from the bar and garbage were sitting outside in the Terrace area. And it seemed to grow each night. 

Other than this, everything was amazing. I would go back.

Beautiful escape

Our family stayed for three nights with our sons baseball team. This is a great hotel. It is very nice and would make a nice business hotel. If you are going to Wofford or Converse this is a great hotel. The pool is large and nice. It has a huge field behind it where all of the kids played Wiffle Ball and football. The bars area is large and plenty of room for everyone to meet in there and hangout. The location is excellent for the colleges and downtown. The drawbacks are getting coffee and getting housekeeping. Housekeeping is a Covid factor but you miss it when you are in there for days. Nice hotel
