When I booked this hotel it was a bit of a leap of faith bc there were few reviews and my emails went unanswered. So I hope this is helpful.
The pros: 1. The dive shop on site was terrific, very kind and patient staff made us feel like we had friends in Negril. We ended up preferring the house reef as a shore dive over the boat diving, and cliff jumping was fun. 2. The view from our balcony was Ahhhmazing. We had both a standard room and the junior suite with kitchen. Both were comfortable. 3. The pool was lovely - not the fanciest, but large, deep, and surrounded by tropical vegetation. 4. The location was close to several restaurants and bars. We walked to Rockhouse (super) Sips n Bites (fine) Erica's (delicious but bring $JA) and a dive bar with cold beer. 
The cons: 1. The staff was inconsistent: One woman was really on top of things, others seemed to be just holding down the furniture. Be prepared to be very assertive about what you need. 2. If there's an event next door it is so loud you'll feel you are actually attending it. Which may be fun! 3. Not a luxury place, it's priced low and there may be things here and there below perfection (for context I usually book 3 or 4 star places). 
There is, technically, a bar and restaurant on this property but it was closed when we were there as things were just locking down due to COVID, so I can't review that. Bring your own bottle opener. I would stay here again.

Beautiful cliffs and great dive op, overall good value

My wife did diving with the place associated with this resort and we spent couple of hours there jumping from the cliff and enjoying the view. The place was pretty much empty. Looks like needs little bit of TLC.

The room we had was first floor ocean view. In the room king bed , tv, microwave and shower. The shower pressure was very slow and at times cold water would come out only during your shower. They don’t have a restaurant or bar. Do have a pool. The Main Street there are no sidewalks so it’s dangerous. The shuttle to the sister property their is a fee. So be prepared to pay for a taxi if you want to go to the beach. There was a hotel that had dinner it was a 3 minute walk and a little  pricey it was very nice and food was great . (Rock house)

Vacation during New Years Eve

The only thing that was nice was the receptionist Crystal that greeted us when we first got there. We inquired about rates for the night and took a quick look at the room which up on first glance looked nice, however once checked in and getting back to room there were ants all over the room, bathroom sink, on walls coming behind pictures. The bathtub had rust stains in it as well as when u held the towel up to dry off you could see stains(glad I brought my own) the Wi-Fi did not work and neither did the tv, there were no channels it just came  on but cable did not work. No restaurant or bar as described as they had no chef so it was closed. Also no lounge chairs to lay on as well as having a patio with table but no chairs to sit on. Do not recommend for anyone to stay, very disappointed

PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL .MY friend and I stayed at this hotel in june 20019 for a month ,we have stayed hear for the last 6 years.and we will not be staying again ,the man on the desk was very rude couldn't be bothered when we approached him ,things happened on our stay we asked to see the manageress junene reid crystal emailed for us no response ,the whole month things happened in the hotel ,we emailed junene reid when we got home ,she has not even replied ,which is very rude .

Well Junene you & your crew again didn't disappoint our 12th year visit to this little gem on the West End with all it's various fruit trees & Dudley keeping the resort grounds very tidy for sure...so relaxing & fun...food is as good as ever...the newly rebuilt road side wall & coach lights looks wonderful..nicely done by your contractor...it has character rather than a simple 7ft high straight privacy wall..all that said we look forward to our 2020 visit.

SO GLAD TO BE BACK

We had stayed here several times when it was called “sunset on the cliffs” and under different management....  wow! what a difference. It is sooo much better now. It is still not a luxury resort so if that’s what you are looking for go elsewhere!  

We always start our Negril vacation in the cliffs before moving to a beach hotel.  There is something very special about staying in the cliffs..  it is just so relaxing!  This hotel is just perfect for that chill relaxing time.  They have done an amazing job on the sea wall with more places to sun worship, swim or dive in the beautiful deep water or just chill.  The view from your private balcony is spectacular.  

The rooms are clean and comfortable.  There is nothing fancy, the water pressure is not great, some amenities are missing..but you are perched on a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea and with amazing sunsets!

The staff is wonderful, especially housekeeping, and they will accommodate your needs the best they can....  what more can you ask for?  We had a wonderful stay and will absolutely be back!

So much better than before!

This is the first time in 20+ years that I've stayed at Coral Seas Cliff. The buildings and grounds have recently been spruced and freshened up. The staff were friendly and courteous.

With some easy fixes, this property could be 5 star. For instance, our small closet didn't have any hangers. Two of the drawers in the vanity were stuck and wouldn't open. The bar often closed by 7pm and didn't have cash to change a $10US bill.

Nice property with only minor touches needed to get to next level

We really appreciated the simple approach to good service at this property. The rooms are clean and the grounds well-kept even if some things are a little rough around the edges like paint chipping on the stairs and in the pool. It has a charming Fawlty Towers vibe - like when you start to feel like the same 3 people do everything at the hotel and you can't find the guy who runs the reception; but it adds to the experience. Wifi didn't work much further than the bar/restaurant area but the signal was strong there and free/easy to access. The walls in general are a touch thin but other guests just kind of keep to themselves and are trying to having a nice, quiet time themselves anyway. At night, even with your AC on and windows closed you can hear the waves crashing on the rocks - a definite plus compared to some of the 7 Mile resorts that are in the thick of it. But by far the best part are the views. The pictures don't do them justice. The views were the best from the sea-facing rooms and from the bar/restaurant area. In the morning, the restaurant is reasonably priced for breakfast (on par with other local nearby restaurants), where you'll be able to eat while watching the dolphins on their daily commute (going North towards 7 Mile Beach). The cliff jumping, while I thought I would do it, seemed terrifying as the waves crashed and swirled around the cliffs (note: they have removed the higher up jumping off area featured in some photos). It was more beautiful than swimmable, but maybe I just could've used a little more courage.
