This Motel has new management with good service and room is well cleaned, staffs friendly talk and give good service. It is cheap and nice motel. And it gives good service at a reasonable price. And good place in Elgin.

Looks a little rough on the outside.  The room (bathroom especially) was a bit small.  But it was VERY well maintained and it was VERY clean.  Towels were a special kind of SOFT!  Great sheets and pillows!

No drug dealers,No drunks.No noises.No bugs in bed.Outside lighting good.Building in new condition from remodeling.1-story complex park outside your door.No big truck trailer parking.Only semi truck parking is for tractor only.I was able to fit my stakebed 4-door truck with 20' ft trailer in tight spot.No breakfast or coffee but ask if you get it from place next door..Management was ok.Checkin was fast..The room rate not cheap $77 a night.Only one other hotel in area,Walmart close by..A few fast food places near the hotel.This place maybe only has 30 rooms so better call early..Room 116 in the corner in back has Kingbed with 3 pillows.Night stand and table.New ac-heat unit.New paint and carpet..Has refrigerator and microwave.I did not try the free Wi-Fi..

Clean no bugs.Good location.Mexican food next door and other stores.

Nice Place in Elgin Tx.

I've stayed in nicer hotels for less money, but the place was full, so they must have something going for them.  The room we had was huge, as was the bathroom.  You could have put 4 more beds in there easily.
The TV remote didn't work and taking a shower was quite the adventure.  The temperature of the water went from sub-zero to scalding hot to sub-zero with the frequency of a metronome!  The beds were comfortable and while everything appeared to clean, the motel overall is quite dated.
The plus side, there is a quaint Mexican food restaurant at the entrance and the downside, the guest staying up partying all night outside your door (not really the motels fault!)
This motel does stay packed and it does serve it's purpose, so I can't really degrade them for filling that niche!

Honestly average motel.

I booked that day thru TripAdvisor.com and when I arrived 2-3 hours later, clerk had a hard time finding the reservation. He was on the phone pretty much the whole time. I think the menus for the attached restaurant should be in the room. 
Overall, it was OK. I would stay there again. The only other hotel in Elgin is way overpriced.

PLZ AVOID***Sunset Lodge Inn***89.99 ALLDAY. Wow this place is a DUMP!!!! Do NOT waste your money! Let me give the disgusting details: 1) the bed sheets are soiled with blood stains. 2) the comforter had a dark "stain" on it. 3) The sides of the bed are filled with big brown stain spots, all over 4) the door security latch on

Me and my family went to this hotel which for our surprise the rooms were infested with bedbugs and even when we show them to the manager he just didn't do anything about it instead gave us the money back and check in someone else you guys need to check your beds before getting in there you don't know what you are going to bring back home I don't recommend this hotel even if it was the cheapest one in town. Run away from the bedbugs.
