We stayed in a lovely ground floor apartment it had all the utilities we needed. Very clean good bathroom with a shower. Air conditioning in the living area and the bedroom. The patio opened direct to the garden area and pool. The grounds and pool are maintained to e very high standard very clean. The reception staff are miserable and could smile more and be a little more helpful also at night guest coming in drunk we’re very noisy at times.  It does feel like a retirement home but if you like quiet days it’s perfect.

Cricket Vacation

We rented apartment 5 through Home Away and it was a very nice and well fitted apartment. The apartment (it was really a bungalow) had one main bedroom and a day bed in the kitchen lounge. It had two good bathrooms with showers and plenty of hot water was supplied through the solar water heating system. External lights were provided to ensure easy access to the property at night. The only real concern would be if there are more than two of you there was no air conditioning in the kitchen lounge area.
The apartment had its own off street parking for a vehicle.
The organisation of the rental was excellent and the owner very helpful.
The apartment is in a great location just off the main road through Holetown and close to all its amenities. Included with the rental was access to a pool,  sun loungers and a restaurant less than 5 minutes walk away.
The location allowed you to eat out anywhere in Holetown  and it was very well located for the local bus services so you could easily travel further afield with regular services to Speightstown or to Bridgetown and everywhere in between. 
This was a great base to discover this area of the island with its many tourist attractions on the coast and the nearby hinterland

stayed in golden view block the place was great with its own swimming pool and a good bar which also served good food one thing try not to get a ground floor place you can also use the beach club which is very good with live shows on some nights

This is our second stay at Sunset Crest, with Rival Enterprises, and another brilliant holiday.

The apartments have everything you want for a self catering holiday and are well maintained and clean.
'No frills' cleaning is a great option
All apartments are near beaches, restaurants, shops and bus route
Part of the  apartment package is card access to the Beach House, which has a great swimming pool, bar and restaurant, plus side door access to a quiet beach
Rival Enterprises arrange collection from the airport and, if you stay over 10 nights, they arrange a return trip to the airport
All the staff are very friendly and helpful

Another great stay in the sun

I have led a group to Sunset Crest for each of the last 3 years (always in March) and have been consistently happy with Rival Enterprises.  The staff are polite and professional, and the facilities, though basic, are adequate for a self-catering stay.  The cleaning staff are kind and unobtrusive, and I haven't had any trouble leaving electronics inside the villa but not hidden away.  Because the nights cool down, we didn't need to bother with air conditioning--ceiling fans are more than adequate in March!  The entire complex is within short walking distance to the beach, or the supermarket (which has just about everything you may need), or the 24-hour medical center.  There are beachside bars and restaurants, also within short walking distance.  For a US$25 or B$50 deposit (refundable), you get an access card to the swimming pool at the Beach House, which has its own bar and restaurant, and its own back-door access to a sheltered swimming beach.  Numerous buses stop right there on the main highway, going to Speightstown, Bridgetown, or connecting to other parts of the island, so you don't even need a car.  I think Rival Enterprises is perfect for families or large groups who don't mind being independent and self-catering during their stay.

Excellent value for the price

We were unsure of booking a place online but we were beyond pleased with Sunset Crest....the staff was very accommodating, the unit we stayed in was perfect, and you cannot beat the value. The Beach Club is great place and we loved being able to walk to stores, restaurants, etc. We definitely will stay there again!

Amazing value - will return

I stayed at sunset crest for 4 nights in June, below I will list the pros and cons:

Pros: Good value for money, it was very cheap for the room, which is basic, but well maintained with all of the ammenities you would require. This is by no means luxury, but when you go to Barbados you should not be spending much time indoors. The pool is also quite nice, and is very close to the apartments. The reception staff are very friendly and laid back. It's also a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Cons: Some of the furnishings in the apartments are a bit worn, the A/C was a little tempremental. 

In conclusion Sunset crest is a great place to stay if you are on a budget, or not too bothered about having a luxury hotel. Everything you need is there and I had absolutly no problems throughout my stay.
