We were a bunch of friends visiting Dharavandoo, to catch the Manta Ray action in Hanifaroo Bay. 7 of us ended up staying here, either on twin sharing basis or single occupancy. Clean rooms, hot water available 24/7. The best part was the breakfast. The manager Shakir( hope I got the name and spelling right), made this simple morning meal an absolute treat! Fruits, eggs, toast and some Maldivian delicacies! How much ever you wanted to eat, it kept coming, no questions asked! A big thank you for that!
   Very economical, considering what the others charge around there. It’s right next to the airport, so you can pretty much get off the airplane and walk to Summer Shades! And Dharavandoo being a small island, getting anywhere is just a five minute walk.
  Would highly recommend this place to anyone going to Dharavandoo.

Clean and Economical

My stay in Summer shades was a perfect stay away from home. Our friendly caretaker Shakeer gave us wholesome break fast before we left for the boat everyday. The rooms are clean and spacious .There is a small backyard to rinse your salt water clothes and to dry them. The cozy veranda in the front was a witness to many saltwater stories and lots of laughter. Our stay was pleasant with unlimited cups of tea and water. The local scrumptious dinner was a perfect ending to our adventure trip. Thanks Shakeer for everything.

Adventure trip

We stayed here for 1 week in august.very comfortable place with all basic amenities.shakir is a very good guy & can arrange all the activities & also the local transfers.
Advice to all to try the local maldivian dinner which shakir can arrange with a local person to come & cook at the guest house,its very good food.
Will definetly be back again as soon as possible.

Lovely guest house with all that you need

It was a dream to have a holiday in Maldives. What a amazing holiday ! I spend 12 nights is summershademaldives . A small guesthouse with beautiful 4 rooms . Friendly , polite  , great staff . Tasty meals . Had nice trips such as snorkelling , and sandbank trip too . And manager ( farysh ) organised nice Maldivian music show for us . The island is beautiful with long sand beach , and also nice house reef . Surely will be back and our top choice is summershademaldives.

Dream comes true with amazing holiday ..

YES!!! If it was possible to give more than five stars, I would in a heartbeat. I would definitely stay with Farysh at the Summer Shade Maldives again (and will when we come back!) and I recommend this place to everyone. 

Farysh is the best and most attentive host we have ever stayed with. From answering all my questions before I had even booked the stay with him to booking excursions and inter-island flights for us, he’s THE BEST! Farysh knew I wanted to swim with manta rays more than anything when we were here and he was in constant contact with the ocean rangers for when the mantas were in the bay. He even adjusted our flights and let us stay an extra night so we could swim with them! He helped us book affordable scuba diving trips and an excursion to snorkel and visit a sandbank for sunset on a day-to-day basis based on what we felt like doing each day. We were also here for my husband’s birthday and Farysh went above and beyond and personally got him a cake to celebrate! 

Farysh’s place the Summer Shade is a fantastic little local bed and breakfast. It’s conveniently located within a five minutes walk of the airport, beach, shops, and several restaurants. His place is clean, comfortable, quiet, and has good AC. He has an option for breakfast (you should definitely take it cuz it’s delicious!). He also provides power adaptors/converters, snorkel gear and beach towels for guests to use. Even better, he has numerous contacts and can get you a great price for any excursion you want to do. The best part is that he can get you more affordable inter-island flights and island transfers by boat than anyone else! 

His thoughtful care for his guests and his attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our happiness is incredible. He has definitely won our loyalty for life!

Excellent!

He meets and escorts from the airport, helps with things. Always in free access is a kettle and tea, coffee. A cozy sofa in the yard for a rest. Responsible for all questions. The owner of the hotel organizes excursions and transfers to other islands. I recommend this hotel.

Good hotel and owner

Very new facility with good service offered by local people. 3 minutes out of the airport. Everything new and well furnished. Room re ordered every day with provision of towels and everything needed.

Food might be improved even if the staff is fully committed to fill out every customer desire (well considering the limitation being on a remote atoll).

Basic accommodation within a small island out of resort circuit, that means experiencing really typical tastes, people, environment.

Best chance for those on budget who want to balance quality per price and focus on diving. Near the lodge one of the best Diving Centers in the Area: Dharavandoo Divers run by Jessica and Virgilio, 2 outstanding diving professionals.



Good Place 

Recently open, everythingh is new and clean, staff close and devoted to guests needs. They try to anticipate and suit any request offering solutions and surprises, always smiling. Open only since a couple of months: rooms comfortable and clean, large dining area outside, two sofas for relax. Food could be improved but they were open to all of requests, needs and suggestions in terms of timing, style of cooking (international and local), special needs for children.

Close to Dharavandhoo Divers (Virgilio and Jessica, strongly recomended for diving excursions and trips to islands) and always cohordinated with them to facilitate divers activities. If you look for a basic but comfortable place, this is the right place.

A small new place with a great potential

A experience to remember for a life time . Great time , good food  , very very nice people and a new guest house ....what else? Oh yeah:  Dophins , Mantas, Coral Garden , blue whater  . You must to see this place .
