Stock Resort

No doubt about about it : this is a 5 star resort with 5 star facilities in a 5 star location. Lucky people who get to live in this beautiful part of the world. After 2 weeks, we still haven’t discovered all the hotel has to offer. It’s vast. We were on a family full board package. It also included a bus ticket which we used several times to get to Mayrhofen ( 10 min ) and Hintertux glacier gondola. ( 20 min ). The water slide kept our fussy teenager busy on most days. Excellent underground car park with self serve car wash. Shout out to our waiters Olesandra, Gabriel and Fieke who kept our cappuccinos topped up! 😁 All staff were great and courteous. Things we didn’t like: the smoking - it’s allowed almost everywhere, on balconies, by the pool and terraces. Smoking is still a big thing in Europe and Austria is no exception. Parents smoked next to their children! We had to move several times so we didn’t breathe it in. One evening, there was a couple vaping inside! Totally unacceptable. I hope this changes soon and the owners look at this and make at least one pool area smoke free so we all can enjoy it. Second thing: the 800 euro nightly rate didn’t reflect in the food offered at lunch and dinner. I expected a lot more for that price rather than just a cold salad and soup for lunch. My son also struggled to choose some days. I would have liked rice, potatoes, chips or pasta every day. I would also have liked free mini bar for that price. Other than that - we would come back again.
