Spent a few nights in this hostel, and was pleasantly surprised. It is located within walking distance of the city centre. Rooms are basic but clean, staff are very friendly. Did both Preikestolen and Kjeragbolten hike from here. Price is very reasonable. Breakfast is somewhat basic but welcome.

Social Atmosphere, Good Prices

My friend and I spent 2 nights in this hostel because we were interested in doing the Prejkestolen hike.

It is a very clean hostel but quite noisy. We were given the twin room near the kitchen and the lounge and people kept banging doors all night and make noise in the kitchen.
I think people should be able to use the kitchen only in some certain hours in order to let people sleep during the night.

Wi-fi wasn't working very well and that was a bit of a problem but we had a nice time and the room we had was very clean.

The hostel is located in camping site , near the lake , quite far from the city  center but it is nice and relaxing area.
Room is a bit small but clean and  I feel comfortable and had a good sleep anyway.
There is a computer for any people to use. The common room is the same area for having breakfast and it is a lot of space . 
Kitchen is well equipped and clean. 
Staff are very friendly and willing to help for everything.
The internet connection is not so good.
The location is quite far from the city center but ok to walk about 30 mins then enjoy walking with nature and residential area along the way to the the city center.
I had a great time there , I recommend it!

Nice and relaxing place

I booked this hostel sight unseen because the reviews said it was near a lake. It was great! Very cheap, we had a twin room which was super clean with a sink. Bathrooms and showers were downstairs and also well kept with a laundry available.  The lounge was a little loud into the evening due to Euro 2016 but we didn't mind, after all the sun is out til after midnight!  Staff was super nice and the lake next door very pretty! Breakfast was simple but wholesome and plentiful. Not luxury but good value and good for families on a budget as well as student travelers.  I would definitely go back when in the area!

Really good quality-price. Really clean and comfortable! Amazing view. Massive lake. Lovely staff. :) 
The breakfast is so good. Just a bit difficult to found because is outside the town centre ,you must ask for the camping
