Sorell Hotel Rex Zürich 

Location: Very good 8/10, The hotel is located close to nearby attractions, old town, tram stop, restaurants, patisseries, cafes, groceries and central train station (Haupt Bahnhof) etc. There is easy access via tram from airport or 15 min. away by car. Especially walking downhill from hotel is easy to reach heart of the city within 10 min. walking distance. Check-in & out: Easy and smooth 10/10, there is free coffee, tea, water, croissants, fruits 7/24 at lobby. I advise you to follow all online instructions before reaching the hotel for electronic entry and main gate pass. Personnel: Overall very kind and helpful 10/10. Room: Room is quite large comparing to “Swiss standards”, comfortable and modern. Some basic toiletries including slippers are, however, not available. We didn’t need A/C in this season, so no comment. Heating is excellent. Daily cleaning was timely and excellent. WC/shower area is clean & modern. Excellent sleep quality, bed, pillow, quilt, and mattress 10/10. There is safe, minibar with additional costs, umbrella, yoga mat, enough charging ports, etc. The sound isolation could be a problem, if other guests were not respectful. Common spaces: 8/10, it’s a tiny boutique-size hotel, so don’t expect too much. Wi-Fi: 10/10 Security: 8/10, reception is only available until 17:00 Food: 7/10 good, satisfactory breakfast, but it could be better. Overall hygiene: 10/10 Overall: Our experience was 9/10 and we will consider staying in this hotel again on our future trips.
