The worst hotel experience ever,dodgy location,dingy hotel,dirty bathtub/shower,leaking toilet,felt unsafe,balcony door could not be locked,poor service and unfriendly staff. This cannot be given as a safe option by Ethiopian Airlines,it needs to be taken off the liat of places to layover.

Me and my wife went to the mother land  for two weeks. Anytime we are in Addis we always stayed at a place called Addis Regnncy, a great atmosphere with a fantastic customer service that makes you feel like your are in your childhood home but unfortunately we found out that they have been affected by the pandemic which leads them to rent it out there property for others.  So that’s were our nightmare started, a mutual friend of us suggested a place called Soramba. We contacted them a head of our flight and reserved a room.  Our flight landed in Addis around midnight so we were so tired and ready to go to bed. But when we opened our room what we found was nerve racking.
1. The room smelled really bad 
2. Cockroaches on bedroom wall.
3. Cockroach in the floor 
4. So noisy.
5. In the morning you don’t need an alarm the music from the Gym at 5th floor will definitely wake you up.
Above all I had thee worst hotel experience in my life with soramba 

Am writing this so that you don’t get fooled like I did.

Location is the best and safe , easy to get transportation, gym and sauna is included reasonable price for massage , Morocco Bath and hairdresser, free entertainment weekends and some weekdays excellent customer service well trained employee

Stayed here for a few hours on a stop over with Ethiopian Airlines.  Rooms comfortable, clean and food OK.  Only here during the day evening courtesy of Ethiopian, free room, transport to and from Bole better than staying in terminal for 10 hours!

I realised on flight back to UK that I had left my wedding ring in the bathroom.  Range the hotel just hoping they may have it.  They did! Their staff clearly very honest.  They took the ring to the airport to hand in to Ethiopian.

Was happy with stay, transport and facilities.

Stopover experience 

the restaurant staff and the entire staff was not coo perative and a lot shaddy room and bathroom. not clean at all . wifi was not working at all .

Was given this hotel as transit from Ethiopian Airlines.
Hotel out of the city centre.
Their meals are totally unacceptable
Their room not upto the standard.
Bathroom needs a total revamp.
Staff very unprofessional.
Ethiopians are known for hospitable people but this hotel has forgotten that 
Even free, is a punishment.

Hotel? Or Guesthouse?

Terrible experience. My connection in Addis is tomorrow morning  so ET in their wisdom saw it fit to put me in this dingy hotel. Dirty walls, stained toilet seat, there's  were on the bathroom floor. Linen is off colour. Beds are very poorly  made. It looks like the room was not cleaned after the previous victim. Shuttle driver was rude and impatient. Receptionist was cold and dismissive. Good was ok but cold. I would chose to sleep on the DEPARTURE lounge chairs over this place. 

Surely you can do (or demand) better, Ethiopian Airways

Quite frankly the night spent there just made me realize the standard level of services we had come to expect in the recent years.....
Hotel was not chosen, but a mandatory step over in Addis for connecting flights, so voucher given by Ethiopian Airlines.
Once past the initial unimpressive impression of the arrival (backyard arrival, entrance hall, ...), magnetic card for the room did not work. Then no internet working, visual condition for the bathroom and room poor at best, light from the corridor impossible to obstruct (I need darkness to sleep), non existing phonic insulation..., very tiny bed. At breakfast, hardly anything left to eat, so satisfied myself with a cup of tea.
Ethiopian Airlines should be giving the option to upgrade to an acceptable hotel, albeit paying extra. This stopover ruined by trip.

To avoid at all costs

Hotel location is very good near many famous places which make you easily reach your point in a very corded city with traffic jam 
the price as well is reasonable comparing to same hotel standard> I strongly recommend it to oher

Nice place to stay

The bed is ok, the shower is hot. The internet is not so good and works only one third of the time. The room is clean except for under the bed. The hotel is far away from the town. I spend a night jus for a connection from Brazil to Benin with Ethiopian Airlines and they chose the hotel for me.
