It is kind of hostel, the room was not very spacious, but clean.
WC and showers are on the floor. Breakfast ws simple but fresh.

The hostel is "offering" hot tub and some activities, nobody available to book / ask .

We were staying one night only, and it was just about enough.
The location is not so good, far from a shop (ok if by car). No restaruants outside the hotel....

Do not stay here. Period. 
This place and the owner is a scam. We received a call just before arriving, saying that they had 10 overbookings during the busy summer period. He said he was trying to help us find something else, but he after that call, he never called back. He also never answered our phone calls (nor to other couples that had the same problem). We ended up borrowing a tent and paying an extra fee in a neighbor town in order to sleep. 
The owner never replied to any calls after that for several days Then a text came saying that we had to contact the booking agency (hotels/expedia) for our refund. 

When they contact him to claim the refund, he also denies everything.
I hope no one else falls for this sucker. Next time we are in the area, I will stop by for a coffee...

Complete fraud! Stay away from this place

Well, I suppose it is a B&B so perhaps a bit to critical here. Room placed behind the eating room, having to go through here to get to the bathroom. Rooms were tiny and very simple, breakfast sad and outdoors area needs maintenance. Impossible to find anyone in charge when checking out, cleaners were running around trying to find someone who could help us check out without luck - left name at the desk after waiting 20 minutes. Would be nice with a smile from the staff at some point also. 

Not great

Friendly guy at the front desk, helpful and willing to help. The rooms seemed not old, but not finished somehow, bare, unconnected electric wires hanging from the ceiling (not in reach of anyone though). The window curtain had fallen down and not been put up again. Had to go to one of two toilets meant for each gender in the night, and there was no light to be turned on. Went there because we were late booking for Geirangsfjord Hotel. An advice to people on same position : this is in no way an alternative, Eidsdal is far away from Geirangsfjord in beauty and everything as possible....Not a pleasant stay but did the job

An Ok place to stay

Since Geiranger is one of the most popular tourist areas in one of the most expensive countries in the world, you can imagine that the hotel prices there are through the roof. This nice bed and breakfast in a small town 20 minutes north is a good alternative for those who prefer a reasonable price. As clearly advertised, most of the rooms are sparsely equipped and does not have bathrooms (common ones are down the hall). The room was OK in size and had a great view of the landscape, and a refrigerator.

We visited a week before “high season”, so very few rooms were in use. We had a very good night’s sleep since the hotel and area was nice and quiet.

The staff was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant with good local knowledge.

Ample (and free) parking day and night.

Breakfast is included in the price and is OK, but very basic.

All in all a very good price compared to the alternatives in the area, and for Norway in general. Recommended for everyone except people demanding luxury.

Good price near Geiranger

Would not recommend this so-called hotel for anyone. Paid the equivalent of 127€ for a room that was in a prefabricated container outside with mattresses on the floor. Shared bathrooms, so no privacy. Breakfast was ok. Many other guests complaining at the front desk. Will not come again.

Expensive, poor quality. Go somewhere else.

Avoid unless a needed as a very last option or need a change from overnighting in a tent. I feel duped, advertised on Expedia as a hotel and stated on my receipt as a hotel. This is NO hotel. It is an ill equipped hostel with very limited washing facilities or toilets. Uncomfotable and dated beds in one of many small dormitories.Meals provided for payment but you'll wish you went to the kebab and burger cafe down the hill. Summary- an expensive con. Expedia - you conned us.

Solfjord "Hotel"

We knew it was a budget accommodation (even though we slept in nicer summerhotels for less) and that the bathrooms were shared. However, we dis not expect to be placed outside the main building in a prefab container! There was a tiny heater in the room and it took ages for the room to reach a comfortable temperature (there's an open grid in the door). We had to enter the main building for WC and showers. No basin in the room either. 
The place is clean and the breakfast good, with home-made seaweed flavoured bread and these are the only positive aspects of the place.
