Sobe na Konalu

Vanja is a wonderful hostess in a beautiful guesthouse with a spectacular view! This was our second stay at Sobe na Konalu and we adore the location. The view of the Adriatic is stunning. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The service was impeccable and so friendly! They made us feel like family. The first time we stayed we chose a double room and it was GREAT. This time we paid a little more to get the terrace and we LOVED it! Relaxing with a glass of wine watching the sun set over the Adriatic is idyllic. Situated a 20 minute walk downhill to Old Town makes it easy to enjoy the town early or late and avoid the hoards of tourists who descend from the cruise ships from 11am to 5pm(ish). If you don't feel like walking back up to the guesthouse, just catch the #3 bus and get off at Magistala 2 (on Jadranska cesta / Sinjska ulica). It could not be easier! You can buy a bus pass for one day or one week. The Dubrovnik card also comes with a bus pass good for the duration of the card. You can also take the bus downhill if you want to avoid the walk, but the bus takes about 20 minytes to get you to Old Town from Magistala 2. Our private bathroom supplied a nice selection of shampoos and soaps, along with fresh towels whenever needed. Our room had a tea kettle and a small assortment of coffee and tea. Vanja's mother also greeted us with a small bottle of DELICIOUS home made liqueur and a small dish of cookies. Comfortable bed! Beautifully furnished. Wi-fi was perfect. There was a TV in the room but we never used it because we enjoyed the view! I highly recommend this place for the friendly atmosphere, spectacular view, phenomenal location, and helpful host! Vanja and her mother run the guesthouse, and they could not be more generous and helpful hosts! Vanja helped us figure out the bus schedule, told us where to shop locally for bubble wrap, and showed us where to go online to schedule our COVID test locally before we flew home. She gives very clear directions and was amazing in every way. Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality! Can't wait to return.
