Snow King Motel

Very nice, clean, and close to the town square.  Right across from the ski area.  

Comfortable bed, and nice shower/bathroom.  

Employees are very friendly and helpful. 

In a quiet part of town, at least in September.

We were in dire need of a room as Jackson was booked, and this place was clean, comfortable -- nice beds and pillows. It's a few blocks from downtown, so nice and quiet. extremely nice owners. stayed there as a family.

If you need fancy decor and all the bells and whistles then this is not the motel for you.  BUT if you need a clean quiet place to stay, within walking distance to the heart of downtown Jackson, amazing staff all at a price  that won't break the bank then you have found the perfect place.  This was our second trip to Jackson and have stayed here both times.  Our unit had a fridge and microwave.

The staff was friendly but had hard time to manage the money.

We paid our entire stay in where, but one day suddenly the staff said we owe them money. We have the receipt that shows we paid for our stay completely. And went to talk to owner, she seemed didn't care. But she let her bookkeeper checked the receipts, the bookkeeper agreed we did pay for our stay. Disappointly, the owner said because that's her manager she couldn't do anything, we needed to move out.

I've never seen a hotel treat guests like this.

Disappoint management

The staff was great... The lounge was cozy.  But my room was on floor 1. As my wife called it,  The Basement. The bathroom door had settled and would not stay closed. We had to shove a piece of kleenex in the back so it would not slide open. The lock on it did not work because it had settled.

It looked like grease had been thrown on ceiling in the main part of the room.

BUT TO END ON A POSITIVE THE STAFF WAS AWSOME AND WENT OUT OF THERE WAY FOR A MEETING I WAS ATTENDING.

I wouldn't trust this motel for booking multiple rooms or doing room blocks for a wedding. I was going to recommend Snow King Motel to my wedding guests traveling on a budget, but unfortunately the management canceled my room block twice without letting me know. When I asked why they didn't call me to notify me of the cancellation the second time (they didn't notify me the first time either), they said they talked to my mother who didn't want to give her credit card info, so they canceled the block. This was not true - they don't even have my mother's phone number and when I asked her about this she told me she never got a call from them. Also, all the other hotels and motels I have called do not require a credit card for a room block. You should not be charged for rooms if they are not booked by your guests - most places just hold the rooms for a certain point before letting them back open to the public.

Don't use for wedding room blocks!

We came out of Yellowstone national park and headed straight to Jackson for an overnight stay. Not having booked well in advance, we suffered the consequence of having to take whatever that is available. A lady from another hotel which was fully booked sent us to the Snow King Motel.

The gentleman at the office, probably the owner, was very kind but the price we had to pay was more like double of what the room was worth. The room had seen better days. Everything worked, just that the place was run down. The air-con was noisy but we did not really need it. So we just switched it off. 

There was free wifi, slow but worked fine. There was also the usual coffee maker, and a microwave, but no breakfast. It was ok for an overnight stay, but definitely not good value for money.

Overpriced Basic Motel

Disappointed with general facility disrepair and poor management of what used to be a great place to stay.  Broken doors, very old room windows (cold air blowing in with frost build up), hot tub not working, pool was dirty, broken tread mill, loud music from pool speaker before 6 am and after 10 pm.  Below average housekeeping.
