Too expensive for what they offer. Lack of staff is making this place a waiting for food place. No cleaning in the rooms after 3 days.
Even if they mention only two options for food at lunch and dinner this is a big drawback because the quality is not very high.

You can clearly see the managment of this place trying to keep the costs under control while reducing the quality.

Never coming back with such big costs


Average services and accomodation

A good location to travel. Last mile it's a bit tricky in winter, pave road in summer. Great neighbourhoods, nice playground for kids. Pool was a lovely experience, our kids asks us when can we go to Smida and plating in pool. Services are so-so, food is good but you have to wait for ... sometimes 1h. People are very nice and helpful.

Good stay!

We stayed at this hotel recently for 2 nights, the half mile approach road is terrible full of pot holes but the scenery is beautiful. The hotel is average, very very expensive compared to others in the area and understaffed, the pool and Jacuzzi is very nice. We were the only guests at that time but our rooms were not touched, bathrooms not cleaned or bins emptied, rooms basic no tea/coffee maker or air-con. We only saw 3 staff covering all positions except cleaning guest rooms, breakfast basic but enough, no fresh fruit, we stayed for one evening meal menu very limited just 3 options so we only had chips which took over an hour to serve despite being the only guests, no English spoken, staff pleasant but not much experience in hospitality, I would not stay here again.

not the best

We spent one night there with a group of colleagues, kind of team building activity. We got there around 3 p.m. They knew we were coming, yet we could not order anything to eat until around 7 p.m. The beverage fridge was also closed, you would have to hunt for the lady which seems to handle the reception, kitchen and bar all in the same time in order to get something to drink. It almost felt like the staff had better things to do than sell us their merchandise.
The rooms and bathrooms could have been cleaner. 
Best thing about it were the tennis court and the pool. 

Nice amenities but poor service

Very nice location and a nice drive from Huedin, the last ~1km is a bit rough but doable.

The hotel is nice, one can see the investment when it was built back in 2016. Playground (although a bit worn down) good for kids, pool excellent, room was clean and comfy. 

Services however are not so well, especially food. And it is not because the people hired there do not want to help, they are nice, but they are just too few and too unprepared for offering customer services. Food is a good example. Although very delicious, it comes veery late, e.g. 1.5h our late. 
There are no choices, there was a menu sometime (one could find it in one of the corners), but that was 2 years ago perhaps. Nowadays there are no options to order, and the one option available comes late.
Prices on the other hand are same as big city prices, ie Cluj. 

One can see how the place started out as an excellent idea in the middle of nature, with great food and services, tons of money invested in great quality hotel. However, the quality of services are bringing the experience down unfortunately. Probably a good place to stay if you're hiking in the area and just stopping by for a night, not a good place to stay with family for longer periods.

Definitely bring your crackers and water to make it until lunch time.

Nice place, services not so much

Only 3 members of staff who made everything, but not cleaning the rooms (it was  dust in the room and nobody came to pick up the trash from the rooms) . Bad food, no balcony,noise, bad swimmingpool, much ignorance from owners.just 2 kind of food in the evening, not tasty. Staff- kind, but just 3 people ( one of them is 15 years old).  And, big prices... So, i don t recommand!

Worst accomodation ever!

We checked in for a couple of nights together with some friends (3 rooms). 

Long story short:

- unqualified and insufficient staff - the same person in the kitchen and at the reception
- no menu available at the restaurant - the 2 or 3 dishes are verbally communicated by the staff and you have to choose from those 
- no fruits and no drinks provided (not even with the all inclusive package), not even water! If you want to drink, you pay ... I point out, even for water! 

- the lunch would be served at 1 p.m., as we were told in the morning and at 1 p.m. we were announced that the food would be ready at 2 p.m. (keep in mind that there were 2 toddlers and one baby with us). At 2 p.m. it was still not ready. We ate only at 2:40 p.m. - meanwhile we had to put the children to sleep - all of them hungry!

I asked for explanations to the manager and it seems that one of the employees got sick and all the other members of the staff (including the manager - for her intonation, I understood that cleaning the rooms was below her leading position) had to clean three rooms for the tourists arriving in the afternoon, so there was no time for preparing the lunch. The manager apologized 5 times during our conversation that lasted for about 10 minutes, she said that such a delay had never happened before (!) and that she appreciated my feedback, hoping that she could make it up to us somehow. 

Today, as we checked out, we kindly asked for a discount and guess what? I quote:"It is impossible", since our waiting for the lunch was not that long (!), but, if we wished, they could provide us a desert for free. We refused, since we realized that Smida Park has a complete lack of management skills. They just do no care about their clients' needs, only about their clients' wallets - as a parenthesis, I will mention that our friends left home before us and I remained to pay the bill... the receptionist asked me: "did the persons from room 5 leave? they have to pay for two lemonades!". 

I think that this question says it all about Smida's professionalism!

Should I also mention that at dinner we had to wait for 45 minutes for a plate of pancakes, which were served cold? And that we had to wait for 40 minutes to check out because the cook - waiter - receptionist (3 in 1) said she was new and did not know how to issue the invoice and to handle the POS terminal? ...

All in all, we had a very poor experience at Smida Park. The rooms are clean, the playground for children is nice, but it is a shame that they do not have the culture and the qualification to treat their clients with respect.

We paid a lot of money for nothing! Thank you, Smida Park. See you never again!
