Small Village Regina

Regina Small Village (not to confuse with Regina Studios) is located about 300m from the main beach and 500m from the shops and restaurants of Panormos Beach. The hotel is only a few years old and has 6 fully and nicely furbished rooms with a very comfortable kitchenette, super clean, good aircon, excellent wifi for free, all rooms have seaview and the 4 side rooms all have 2 balconies! And the best thing: from the hotel it is only 50 to 80 meters to three small, protected rocky bays, huge pine trees grow on the rocks next to the water (you can always choose between sun, half shade and shade) the water is crystal clear and the 3 small beaches were almost always deserted (mid July 2014, the hotel was only half full). Nicos, the very friendly owner, runs a taverna just below the hotel, perfect for lunch and supper although in the evening we usually chose to go to Panormos Beach itself (10 min walk). Once in a while the taverna can be a bit noisy at night, but no problem if you close the balcony doors. We loved the place and the intimate beaches so much that we did not even rent a car or motorbike for the seven days we were there. You can easily walk to Milos Beach in 30 min. A 5 star resort is only 5 min away. The other beaches, like Limnonari and Kastani beach would necessitate at least a scooter (scooter and car rental at Panormos Beach), there are also public buses every 1.5hrs. We have already decided to go there again next year: from Volos Airport we took the ferry to Glossa/Loutraki (3 hrs via Skiathos, cost 25,-E) and then a taxi to Regina (25min and 24,-E). Return is the same.
