Easy, ocean front beach access. Pet friendly rooms but rooms did not smell like it! Very clean!

The view was beautiful, staff were friendly and warm, and my room was comfortable and had more amenities than I expected. Parking would probably have been a little tight if it had been busier.

Cannot check in earlier than 3:30. Swift service at desk. Friendly. Pool clean and hot tub wonderfully hot-4 or 5 petson max.

We love the location! The ocean view makes this one of our favorites!

I’ve stayed at the Silver Surf hotel since I was a child and it’s always been the best experience every time. It was my first time staying in one of the cabins and it was so spacious and plenty of room for all four of us are I recommend that everybody try this place and give it a stay. It’s very cute and Homey.

The Silver Surf is a gem.  Many rooms come with kitchens and a full view of the ocean, with easy access to a large stretch of beach.

It was wonderful! I very cute little room basically on the ocean! Wonderful view from our room as well!

The location, view, and easy beach access of the property is amazing. The rooms have kitchenettes and provide what's needed. The only issue we had was the bed. Very uncomfortable..and you feel every movement. Other than that will absolutely stay again. Please upgrade the bed in the surfer themed unit!

Awesome beach location!

#1 family spot

I am so glad I stayed here!  Last time I stayed it was pretty depressing and shabby.  I love the tattered prom dress places though!  The newish team that is running the joint have brightened it up, cleaned it up, and changed the energy of the place.  So lovely and the best deal on the coast.  Great for Darg too!

Fresh and Clean!

Both Front desk people were fantastic. Location is good. Views of the beach rooms really nice. The heating system in the room needs to be updated. The Temp outside was in the mid 35 range and it took well over two hours to heat the room. Semi uncomfortable throughout the night as the temperature dropped. I had to leave the room for two hours after I checked in around 3pm and go downtown to let it warm up.

Nice with just one important request

Gorgeous views and friendly staff with a well-rounded continental breakfast.  Loved that they had dvds and movie snacks for you to take to your room.  Very cute!    The only bummer was that the hot water ran out pretty quickly and there were multiple soft spots in the bathroom floor.  Had to keep remembering to step around a particularly big one so my foot didnt pop through the linoleum.  If youre looking for an easy place to stop thats *very* pet friendly, cozy, not gonna bust your budget, and close to Yachats choose this spot!

Well kept older motel with a great beach view just across  the lawn and easy beach access.  We weathered the bomb cyclone and had a comfortable time inside while being able to watch the storm from the upstairs room.  The bed was comfortable.  Might have to try this again when the weather is warm and sunny and not in mid-November.

The location right on the beach with every room having ocean view is unbeatable. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was great. The bathroom could have been a bit more clean but it wasn't too bad. Bring slippers when you stay there, no carpet except by the balcony sliding doors which is great considering potential sand teack8ng into the rooms. If you have neighbors upstairs, you'll hear them and smell their cooking. Overall, I would stay here again.

I came to Yachats with a friend to spend a couple of days relaxing. The Silver Surf was a great choice. I had never stayed there before, but I will stay there again. The accommodations were clean, very comfortable and the beach access was easy. The staff was excellent. They knew all of the answers to our questions and were very nice. I totally recommend this place.

Silver Surf is a motel right on the ocean in Yachats. Amazing views from your room and balcony and the beach is a few short steps and you can walk for miles.  The suites are cool - we were upstairs in a theme suit.  Nice to have a kitchen.  Indoor pool includes hot tub. Lots of towels.  Would come back again.

Older motel, rooms were very clean.  Staff only present until 8 PM.  We had a noise issue but no one to report it to after 8 PM.  We had no issues the first night, just the second night.  Either the walls are super thin or both of us had the balcony door open--it sounded like they were in our room--whistling?!
