Shindzela Tented Safari Camp

Shindzela Camp is an excellent, good-value safari option for Greater Kruger for those who do not seek absolute luxury. The camp is in the heart of the bush in the Timbavati Reserve, about a 1.5 hour drive from the main gate entrance (wihch itself is only 20 minutes drive from Hoedspruit Airport). The tents are contained within solid wooden structures, so give a good feeling of being in the wild but still completely safe and comfortable. Meals were excellent and well-organised. Best of all, the game drives were amazing! They were extremely well led by the guide and his tracker buddy. We saw all the big five, including a pair of leopards mating! The pool is very small but guests do not come here to swim. There are no power sockets in the rooms, but there are dedicated power sockets for each room at reception (essential for charging phones, etc.).
