Selenium Hotel 

I stayed at the Selenium Hotel with a friend in April 2026. I really enjoyed my week there. I booked through Love Holidays and the trip was very good value. The hotel is very clean and the staff worked hard and were very friendly. It is true that there is some repetition with food but I always found food I liked. One morning there were mini croissants, another morning there were pancakes and on another occasion there were fried eggs. It is self-service buffet style and the salad section was good and the hot dishes included chicken, chips, potato wedges and rice/pasta in various forms and vegetables. There was some meat as well, although I think this was more limited. In the evening, there was vegetable soup which was good and varied. Dessert was a creamy custard dessert like a creme caramel or little cakes in syrup or fruit which was usually apples. The staff at the hotel were super friendly. A shout out to Albert who worked behind the bar, who spoke excellent English and was very polite and friendly and Omer who worked behind the bar and in the restaurant area who always had a smile for us and who spoke good English. He made us laugh on a number of occasions. The hotel is in a good location just next to a park. It is a 10 to 14 minute walk to the beach and there is a private area that is roped off where you can get a sun lounger courtesy of the hotel. Some of the beach outside of the roped off areas belonging to various hotels is public. One of the roads leading down to the beach has multiple shops. We walked along the sea front to old Side. The walk took about 25 minutes at our pace. You can see the ruins of a Greek temple there. It is well worth seeing. We also booked 2 trips through Get your Guide - one to Antalya with a visit to the waterfall included and another was a boat trip on the Manavgat river which is a really pleasant trip and to the market/bazaar in the afternoon. I had a fantastic time in Side staying at the Selenium. The sun shone every day. If you want a small, very friendly hotel in a great location then this is for you.
