Seeappartements Excelsior Gartenpavillon

We stayed there a couple of times during summertime a few years ago. There are two villas on the property, Villa Miralago which is directly by the lake and another, family villa, a little further up, but still close to the lake. We always stayed in the villa further up, as it has a double room. Other options are only bigger apartments if I remember correctly. When staying in a double room you were also offered simple but tasty breakfast in the family dining room ( we appreciated the homemade jam ). The villas are/were run by a very nice older lady and her son and it was always a pleasure to have a little chat with her. The villas are located just at the end of Velden and are a good 15 minute walk from the center. But at the same time they offer peace and quiet. You can park in front of the villa which is handy as parking in Velden can be a bit of a headache. Especially if there is an event going on. The room was simply furnished, with a feeling of old times, and you had the beach and a private pier all to yourself, as there is plenty of space and not that many apartments. The water can be a bit cold in June though. Overall we had a great time there.
