Scarabeo Camp

We spent a beautiful afternoon, sunset and evening at Scarabeo. 

Lovely oasis pool, magical camel ride across the desert and topped off by a candlelight dinner under the stars! 

We wished we had booked an overnight stay as the tents looked fab.

Absolute Heaven on Earth for 3 days and 2 nights!!!
This is one of the most magical place we have been to… and we are worldwide frequent travellers. 
The scenery, the attention to detail, the bespoke set up and decoration, the most wonderful tents, the super kind, friendly and attentive staff, catering to our gluten and nut free dietary requirements with utmost care, the evenings and live music, the candles and evening preparations of the tents, the delicious authentic healthy food, the smiles, the silence, the peace - simply everything!! Thank you for such a wonderful time! We all wanted to stay on, but will be back.

Without a doubt this is a exceptional experience! Although we did not spend the night, we have seen the most beautiful place in the middle of the desert. We spend the afternoon at the pool (!) and had a great dinner at Scarabeo. 
Especially Ismael made it a day to never forget…..with his kindness and special jokes he made our night.

If you have the time, do visit this extraordinary place!

I stayed 2 nights and 3 days wonderful days with my wife. The camp is magnificent with beautiful views of the Agafay desert. It's the perfect gateway to escape from the busy life of modern cities. I want to give a special thanks to Abdou and his drivers that take you from and to the airport or the city of Marrakesh. We forgot our beloved jacket at the camp and we realized only when we were at the airport leaving for Europe. Abdou organized the pick up of our jacket at the camp where we forgot it and in less than one hour his drivers managed to bring it to us at the airport, just on time for our flight. This is an example of the kindness, generosity and excellent service that you will find waiting for you. Thank you so much Abdou and Scarabeo camp, everything was just great!!

This place is unbelievable good! I have no words to explain how great our trip was- lovely service in the most beautiful place. 
The only suggestion would be to provide food earlier - or let us to preorder for the little ones… my 3 year old was starving by the time we were served. But the staff was super kind ❤️

This camp is in a stunning location with a great pool. Get there early so you can enjoy time by the pool before sunset! A camel ride on the way is great fun, yet 20’ is enough!  We had a fabulous time - thank you!

We had an absolutely splendid night at this gorgeous camping ground . We stayed at the neighboring camp , la Roche Noir, due to availability. Excellent accommodations, extremely comfortable beds, food was amazing. We enjoyed the ATV riding and stargazing. An unforgettable memory for my husband, myself and our two boys! Our tent was outfitted perfectly for our family of four. We had everything we needed. Highly recommend. 

A beautiful place to spend a few days. The tent we had was amazing and the views were stunning. This site offered a lovely restaurant tent with delicious food, great views and attentive service. There was also a pool with open views of the stone desert. An oasis in the desert location. Camel rides and dune buggies made for some exciting activities whilst we were there. Thank you.

A wonderful relaxing experience in the Agafay desert.  The tent is well equipped, comfortable bed and gorgeous pool.  Lovely dinner under the stars and excellent service.  A must do in Morrocco.  Scarabeo is a star

Luxury in the desert!  Hard to believe, but Scarabeo is a perfect place to stay for a desert experience.  Rather than take many hours to go to the Sahara, the Agafay desert is a bit more than an hour from Marrakesh, but desert it is.  The beds are comfy, the tent for two is very large, with an outdoor deck to stare at the sunset or sunrise.  The food was very good, the staff, amazing.

Unforgettable and luxurious desert stay!

Meditation without even trying

Went for dinner, only. Our adult grandson absolutely loved it. The highlight of his holiday. Food was good and plenty of it, ambience was good, staff welcoming, sitting in a tent in the dessert at sunset with a candelbra! My only reservation was that it needed a bit of refurbishment outside the tent, seats we had were falling apart. We should have told them, really. Otherwise good fun. 

Something different

Overall, I would highly recommend this camp for those looking for a unique and comfortable stay in the desert.

Firstly, the food at the camp was exceptional. I enjoyed the lunch more than dinner, although both were excellent. The atmosphere of dinner in the tents was also memorable and added to the overall experience.

Additionally, Scarabeo Camp was very organized and punctual. They were on time for everything, from the reception to lunch, showing tents, dinner, and breakfast. The tents were nicely decorated and cozy, adding to the overall ambiance of the camp. While the swimming pool was small, it was still enjoyable, though it was quite cold.

The camp had a good vibe and atmosphere, and the staff were polite and accommodating. They even accommodated our activity cancellation, which was a nice touch.

However, there were a few downsides to consider. At times, I felt that they were discriminating and serving white people better and first, which was uncomfortable. 
Also our tent didn’t have any hot water at all, (not that it was cold, it wasn’t working) , we didn’t bother as we only stayed one night.
I would recommend that the camp provide some Arabic dance and music or Moroccan cultural events in the evening to enhance the overall experience.

Despite the downsides, Scarabeo Camp was well-thought-out and prepared, and I would highly recommend it to others looking for a unique desert camping experience.

Overall, my stay at Scarabeo Camp was a 5-star experience.

Unforgettable Desert Experience: 5-Star Stay at Scarabeo Camp

This was the best experience of our lives - sleeping in the desert. Scarabeo Camp is located just 30 minutes from Marrakech, but it feels like another world - super well decorated, furnished, and every detail is outstanding. The ultimate paradise for travelers. The tents are wonderful - very well equipped, comfortable and each with an unique design and view. And the pool is a small oasis - pretty jaw-dropping. 
We would love to say special thanks to the entire staff and the singer with his beautiful performance 11/10.
