OYO 10428 Hotel Sandal Breeze

Stayed as a family while visiting Marayoor and Kanthalloor. Coffee maker, facilities like spacious washrooms, restaurant below and quick service were the salient features. Good Sleep and Good Food made the stay memorable.

Stayed with family in this hotel which is located in the main place in Marayoor town. Neat and affordable rooms with good service. The owner Mr. Charles Diaz was very helpful in arranging trips and giving directions to the sight seeing locations. Good trip and thanks to a friend who referred the hotel while visiting Marayoor.

It was a pleasure staying at Sandal Breeze Hotel, which is 5 minutes walking from the Marayoor Bus stand. Sandal Breeze is a nice hotel with excellent food and service. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. Overall the experience was good and we enjoyed our weekend getaway a lot. I will definitely stay there again.

Excellent Ambience.....homely stay..... at Sandal breeze hotel Marayoor. We had a wonderful vacation spent with family., we checked in and everything was on spot , service was prompt. Rooms were neatly maintained and cleaned. Toilets were clean and hygienic. Best stay for the budget. The location of the hotel was superb.  Staff and service is very good. 

Parotta and beef fry was mouh watering. A special mention of chicken biriyani and grill chicken. 

In future, whenever I visit Marayoor or Munnar, I will try to stay in Sandal breeze only.

Stayed with friends for two days. Clean Rooms, good service and owner Mr. Charles is a very friendly person. Good sight seeing places nearby and the hotel also has a decent restaurant. Comfortable stay and really enjoyed Marayoor.

We had a large group and stayed here for two days. Food was great. I miss the dosa already. Excellent service. Rooms were clean and convenient. There is a convenience shop in the front that was useful. They had a car with driver that I hired to go back home.

Awsome food and nice rooms to stay and staffs were very kind to us and they have all facilities they booked a nice ride to local spots and they sent a guide for our safety purpose and they were very kind

It was a  nice stay for all of us. Hospitality was 100%. Fun place to visit with friends and family members.. Food was good too. They arranged food on time and took care of all our needs and necessities

Modern rooms, nice staff, delicious meals.  This seemed like a small town and is probably the best hotel around.  Our tour guide ordered a dinner for us and the family of the owner participated in preparing it.  It was wonderful...they got a round of applause. The region is beautiful and as we were on a bike tour a perfect place for us to stop before our next destination!

The rooms were so neat and clean especially the bathroom and all. The staffs were do kind and helpful. There were free internet connection.It is a nice place fir staying with family and freinds.They arranged a treeking jeep for us to visit many beautiful places in Kanthaloor and Marayoor. It was a beautiful journey.Overall it was a nice stay. So I wiuld like to give it a 4.8/5.

Great hotel to stay in Marayoor

Possibly Best Hotel in Town

Cycling group largely from Canada rested here one night. Great showers, comfortable, clean and fresh rooms. The chef and staff served a delicious meal. The owner and wife so welcoming and helpful lending us an adaptor when ours would not work for our small kettle etc. Recommend this hotel if travelling in this area. The ride to Munnar is spectacular......visited the tea factory enroute also which was interesting.

Dinner was amazing....best so far in South India tho' Cardamon House was also delicious.

Grizzled Giant Squirrel. Spot-bellied Eagle Owl. Megalithic Domens. Sandalwood Forest. Chinnar.

Since last year, these terms were buzzing like flies in our mind for long. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is something that we were dreaming of visiting.

But the key impediment is where do we stay. In this rain-shadow part of Western Ghats even the winters can be hot. So the forest log houses were ruled out. We did not want to stay too far. Thus  the Munnar resorts - were stricken off again.

And then we came across Sandal Breeze Hotel in Marayoor. We made call. It was picked up by Charles, the owner of the property. From the first conversation I knew we want to stay there. 

So when we visited this January, we found this simple but nice property sitting at the very heart of this quaint and ancient town of Marayoor. The stay was very comfortable. Charles, and his whole family quickly made us feel home. 

The food was very good. Service was excellent. Charles arranged vehicles to Chinnar. And he suggested the cheapest and best option - an auto-rickshaw. And only reason I could click a Velvet-fronted Nuthatch was this all open auto. 

Our trip was successful. We saw all the animals and birds we wanted to check there. We stood in front of the 3000 BC rock paintings and dolmens - goosebumps came quick. 

And all these experience would not have been possible without Charles and Marayoor Sandal Breeze Hotel. Keep it up Charles. We shall visit again. Till then...

Friendly Breeze at Marayoor

At the outset I must seek apologies for posting late comments .. Sandal Breeze in Marayoor is really a awesome and nice Hotel .. We stayed there for two nights on New year's Eve and it was really a memorable experience ..
Pros:
1. Hotel is extremely good and safe for family
2. Restaurant and bakery provides excellent food
3. Rooms, bathrooms are really clean and tidy
4. Parking available
5. Hot water available

Tips: People who visit Munnar from coimbatore can plan ur itinerary to accommodate a days stay in Marayoor. It is a small village on the way to Munnar and offers lot more adventurous trekking and Nature site seeings nearby .. 

1. Thoongavanam waterfalls trekking(pls Google for correct spelling) .. OMG what a location .. College and friends group .. Must visit trekking in your lifetime .. Pls contact Mr. Charles who is the Owner of Sandal Breeze to plan ur stay n arrange for trekking.
2. Chinnar Wildlife sanctuary (Dense forest) ..  Drive through the forest will keep ur adraline really up .. Be prepared for surprise visitors on ur way .. 
3. Lakkam waterfalls .. Best place for kids and family to have fun
4. Eravikulam National park .. Must visit place for all ages .. It's just Nature Nature n nly Nature up there.. Pure serenity at the heighest peak in Munnar.. 

Overall it was really a wonderful New yr trip for my family ..  My sincere suggestion is that if u r planning to visit Munnar from Coimbatore, plan a days stay @ Sandal Breeze Marayoor and witness the above site seeings comfortably .. Hereby I thank Mr.Charles who is the Owner of the Hotel for really having taken care of our stay and made us feel home away from home. Thumps up to you Charles n ur staffs ..

Nice n awesome Hotel

if you are visiting munnar this is the hotel to stay. rooms are having excellent interior, equal to high category 3 star hotels. staff and manager are very courtesy oriented. equipped with very tasty food restaurant. hotel was very neat and good furniture, fittings were used. rather than staying in expensive hotels of munnar, one can stay here and use the rest of the money for cab to move around munnar. very very economical and reasonably priced. once you step in you will love the interior of the hotel. has ample parking space. very good ac. evening you can enjoy the cool breeze and mountain view outside the hotel. can take a walk around in less crowded street. you can easily access the other exciting places around marayoor. on the way to munnar you can enjoy the excellent landscape with tea plantations.
