Salmon Holiday Village

We stopped here for 2 nights in total as a mid point drive up to see the Northern Lights in North Finland. On our way here we were quite nervous as we had read the previous reviews. It turned out so much better than we could of expected. We arrived early for check in but just called a number and the owner drove over to check us in, he was very polite and not only gave us directions to our cabin but also to the local town so we could pick up any food if required as we were self catering. We only paid 70 euros a night for this cabin so we weren't expecting a 5 star hotel. We went in and the cabin was clean and importantly very warm as the temperatures were down to -27c at times outside. There was everything we needed double bed, a sofa that doubled as a single bed, a small dining table, 2 hobs, a bathroom, a shower and to our surprise a nice sized sauna. The bed was very comfortable...the first night we managed a solid 12 hours sleep. The views over the lake were amazing and town was only a short walk away. This was an extremely pleasant stay at low cost.
