Booked this hotel based on good price and ranking on booking.com that had better comments than on here.  Found this hotel to be a good basic value.  Bathroom is updated, nice and clean.  Rooms are typically French style so if you are looking for plush pillows and large towels,  go to a large chain. We found the couple that runs  the hotel very friendly and helpful.  We were very happy with our stay and would recommend it. 

This was a very nice hotel and well situated for an overnight stay on a journey South. It would also make a good base for a visit to the area. The town is very pleasant with excellent local restaurants. The hotel was very comfortable and served a very good breakfast for a small charge.

Very good value in a nice location with great hospitality.

Overnight stop

The exterior could be a lot more inviting, but stepping through the door you receive a warm welcome. The hotel looked like a cafe bar for the locals. Having eaten elsewhere I would have returned for a drink but the bar closed at 8pm! 
Rooms are basic but the bathroom facilities are of a very good standard. 
Did not eat there at all.

First impression - you can't judge a book by its cover!

Found the hotel on the internet and booked three rooms for a one night stay whilst returning from the South of France to Calais.
On arrival there was sufficient on street parking but the hotel faces right onto a busy roundabout.
The staff were friendly but as we ascended the stairs to our rooms I could not help notice the stained ceilings above the obvious heating pipes and the old and outdated wall coverings.
Two of the three rooms were okay but the third, advertised as a triple was a joke and the bathroom was like something from 40 years ago.
Although there were air con units in the rooms, they did not work very well and the noise from the roundabout outside resulted in a very uncomfortable stay. Our two families actually decided to leave earlier than planned at 03.30 because of the lack of sleep, noise and heat.
I have taken into account that this is a budget hotel but I have stayed in far better budget hotels in France that have cost less.
Overall not a great experience.
The owners could vastly improve this hotel with a lick of paint and some refurbishment of the rooms with an investment in some working air con units.

Stayed once but would never stay again

Needed a hotel last minute - 60euro for a double - so 'budget' but still very poor.

Corridor dingy and badly needs refurb.  Room smelt of smoke and had cigarette burns and various stains on the old carpet - take flip flops as bare feet would be dangerous... 

'Bar / breakfast' area looked disgusting with old dirty furniture - so we decided to give that a miss...

Room was facing the main roundabout with traffic lights directly outside - 24 hr noise and lorries stopping when lights red so very, very noisey. 

Overall - disgusting, poorly located - desperately needs refurb. 

Sheets were clean though and bed was comfy!
