I have traveled around 7 different countries in the past month, this is one of the best hostels I have stayed. The owner works really hard and put his passion into this place. He tries to make everyone home and made an amazing social environment for everyone. The place is clean and quiet at night for everyone to sleep. He is there every morning to offer everyone free breakfast also cook dinner for everyone. Amazing stay!

Hostel Lika is a pearl amongst Croatian hospitality. My night started with severly under hydrated hands, but no worries as the owner joyously supplied me with hand cream. Good social vibe and great kebabs was the cream on top. 
I will be keen to return to Hostel Lika knowing that every evening will have a killer deal with promised fun!

I stayed here for two nights, it was great! Marko was very welcoming, as was his wife. They really treat their guests like family. The hostel is well located next to the bus station, and it’s not far from the tram stop. Would definitely stay here again!

Had the best time at Hostel Lika. Amazing space, and the best host of them all, Marko. From the free beer at arrival to the crazy nights at the bar area, it was by far my favorite hostel of my whole trip :))))

Wow. What can I say. 
Marco made my heart beat from moment one - from the free beer on arrival to complimentary rose flavoured chocolates and cherry flavoured liquor.

Backpacking heaven

I stayed in the hostel for 4 nights & I would like to say that this Hostel is Fantastic, Marco & his family are such lovely people they made me feel so welcome as soon as I got there.😊 .Marco ABSOLUTLEY loves his job & you can tell this 😊. I stayed in a Double room wihich was very clean & a nice space ,great price too .Having a free beer on the night you get there is a great idea as Marco introduces you to all the people that’s already there & you meet people easier that way. 😊 .I met some lovely people in the hostel.😊. The location is Great it’s very near to transport & only takes about 25 mins to walk to town. I would definatley stay here again & recommend this hostel to my friends &  family .I wish Marco & his family all the happiness & to carry on with their FANTASTIC hostel 😊.xx

FANTASTIC HOSTEL 😊

Nobody was there to check us in for our room when we arrived. We were stuck outside the building, in the cold, until a tenant let us in the building. We tried contacting the owner, who was nowhere to be found. At least the owner very kindly refunded my entire payment after my urging,

We planned to stay here because it was dirt cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

20yo female from Ireland- was here a while ago. this place prides itself in being a "safe and family run hostel". Trust me, it's the opposite. Any female looking to book this place- Dont- I believe that hostel owners should be trustworthy, responsible and safe. The male owner has other thoughts though and you should be aware and alert while near him if youre a young girl.

tried to complain w the group i was with (four females aged 18-20) the next day and he said since i hadnt called the police he was gonna to call thr police on me(??) and cancelled my booking so i couldn't review.

just want to let it be known that this guy is dishonest- dont trust his "kindness" in my opinion(as im sure this isn't the first time he has attempted to be "friendly" to a young girl).  just a warning x

watch out for the male hotel owner

Was a bit disappointed about this hostel. We only stayed here because it was the closest to the bus station. The owner runs everyone out for hours while they are supposedly cleaning the area. This leaves no room in the place at all but your bedroom. You have to leave for hours. He’s big on respect, which I understand, but it’s overboard. My friends came down for coffee 5 mins after 10am and he wouldn’t give them a break and give it to them. He told them they were 5mins late and couldn’t get it. Not cool. He could’ve made an exception and just next time be on time. We had to go down the street for coffee. If you have another option stay somewhere else!

You don’t really have a good hangout spot. Midday they close it

I stayed overnight in many hostels over a longer trip to the Balkans.I was rarely so badly received in a hostel.Starting with the reception,which looks more like a storeroom and then over it a huge board which one should read through very well. All rules you're not allowed to do and how to behave. The rooms are so basic that there were not even ladders for the bunk beds. Never mind the bath...Leaving luggage in the hostel during the day of checkout? Impossible. The other hostels are miles ahead.
