We were very happy with the service we received at Roban House. Very clean, quiet, tasty breakfast and good location. We were glad there were only three rooms as we had hoped to find a peaceful place. The bed sheets need mentioning as it was a great pleasure getting into bed and feeling the smooth linen on one's skin.

I would call it a retreat as throughout my stay I had total silence, did not hear or see anyone other than at breakfast, which was great and freshly cooked, and when I had reflexology, reiki and  shiatsu treatment from Anna. She sorted out all my aches and pains. It was real bliss, recommend the guest house and the treatments highly. You do not have to leave the house for them.

Very attentive staff, nothing thing was a problem. Helped us in many ways as we were very tired after travelling through the mainland Europe and wanted peace and quiet. We are greatful for getting just that and more help and assistance. Superb bed, great breakfast, very good location and very clean. If we are again in Bath this is where we will stop.

Superb bed and breakfast in Bath

Great friendly service

I stayed at this B&B for four days whilst visiting my daughter, who is ill, for a few days. Whilst the room and the house themselves are great, they are most definitely not worth the 110GBP I paid per night. The owner was very controlling, breathing down my neck to make sure nothing was eaten or drunk in the rooms. I also found her to be very inflexible - everything had to be done as and when she wanted it to be done, or there would be trouble. We had to whisper as every single noise that was made, I would receive a nock on the door. On top of everything, the TV and WiFi both didn't work throughout my stay there. When asked if she could fix it, the owner just shrugged as if to say "you're just going to have to live with it". The cherry on the icing was when I asked if I could check out just 15 minutes later (at 10.15am instead of at 10am), so that I could continue the telephone conversation I was having with my sick daughter's doctor. 15 minutes was apparently just too long for her, and I was told to leave immediately, cutting my much needed conversation short.

In short, if you're in desperate need of a bed, Roban House is fine. However, if you're looking for somewhere to call home for a few days, I wouldn't bother. I will definitely be using Air BnB next time - cheaper, more flexible and much more user friendly!
