Wow. This place is amazing. We had an amazing stay! This place is beautiful and worth every penny you spend here! A great value! Short, cheap uber rides to the Parkway and short walk to breakfast. The staff is AMAZING.

Don’t let the outside of this motel /cottage scare you away; the way it looks it’s very charming, has a lot of character outside and especially inside!  We absolutely loved the rustic look of our room, newly renovated with the nice smell of cedar from the walls and shutters. Bed slept awesome, bathroom was great, had its own shampoo in the shower, nice coffee maker with flavored creamers, large refrigerator, with a microwave and a large flatscreen tv. The patio was perfect as well, we enjoyed our dinner outside while listening to the creek. We will definitely be back! Thank you for being so hospitable.

These cottages have had a tremendous amount of renovation done and the interior is up to date and modern yet has a rustic feel. Off the parkway, and close to the river with a quiet park like atmosphere. Everyone on property is hospitable and we didn’t have a need unmet. The only thing I would change about the room is to have an air vent in the bathroom, it gets muggy after a shower, but nothing that would stop me from staying here again! 

I Came Upon This Place by pure accident. I was extremely surprised at the cleanliness and how well maintained the grounds are. Even the pool was in good good condition. The people that check me in we're above and beyond friendly. Made us feel completely at ease and almost like we were at home. I would give this a diamond 6 star listing if I had the ability. This is a diamond in the rough, the cost to stay here is extremely tolerable.... If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay, very quiet and pristine this is for you.... I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have

A diamond in the rough

In the ‘60’s, we stayed here a lot, back when Gatlinburg was a much different place.  Back then, few people had discovered the town.  There were only a couple of restaurants, the Candy Kitchen and a bunch of souvenir/gift shops.  The Great Smokies were a big draw during the day and Gatlinburg at night consisted of country-cooked dinner and then listening to genuine hillbillies coming down from the mountains playing phenomenal blue grass on the stree5 corners.  The motel was quiet, out of way and, yes, next to the Roaring Fork.  Today, Gatlinburg is a colossal traffic jam, the mountains are still breathtaking and the motel is, well, showing some signs of the years.  It’s half the size it used to be but still out of way.  That said, the staff is friendly, accommodating and the rooms are clean and spacious.  A good value.
