33 reviewsThe Rio Dorado Lodge is a clean, modern site that is very quiet and safe. I agree with many of these reviews on all the benefits. You are here for the fishing access and expertise. The owners are Annibal and Marta, very pleasant proprietors who have years of experience treating guests. Their son Juan knows every possible place to fish, under any conditions, at any time of day. He accurately predicted where to fish, at what times, and whether or not we would avoid other anglers. The one TA review that recently gave a lesser rating was not 100% wrong, I also arrived mid-day to a hot room, but you don't need AC because it is so dry there you may actually need to bump the heat at night. Clean, neat, good shower, great bed, awesome pillows - give me those and I don't need to complain about the rest! International travelers can not go wrong with Rio Dorado. We will be back.
