Staying at the Riad Houdou was a fabulous experience. Located within the ,medina, it is a fairly short walk to the main central square Jamaa el Fna, which is really awesome. Right from the start the Riad manager, Abdel was super helpful and made me feel so welcome. His introduction to Marrakech was invaluable and gives really good guidance on how to experience Marrakech, be safe and how to negotiate with taxis. All in all, I’m sure the tips he gave me saved me hundreds of dirhams and helped me navigate my way around Marrakech. I found the Riad very pleasant and authentic, with character and charm. I always had a fantastic breakfast and Abdel was particularly accommodating in ensuring I was provided with an early breakfast when I had early excursions or an early taxi for the airport. The rooms are delightful, air conditioned, clean and very well maintained. I do recommend the in house hammam provided by the on site beauty specialist.I would stay at the Riad Houdou again without hesitation, and I’d like to say a special thanks to all the staff who made my stay so delightful.
