We very much enjoyed our stay here. Welcoming owner and staff. Convenient to both the ferry and train station, this property is in a great location. Room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was served in the front room and included meat and cheeses served to each table as well as a buffet of eggs, etc. Honestly, this was a lovely find which we highly recommend. Thanks for the perfect stay.

Very friendly staff, he used his translate app for easy communication:) the room was better than the photos, we came off the KD ferry and the hotel was right there! We took the train the next day and it was so close! The included breakfast was exceptional, the buffet included hot yummy scrambled eggs, along with cold cereals, a tower of food was brought to our table with meats, fruit salad and cheese. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The owner of Rheinhotel was the friendliest and most helpful host we met while traveling in Germany.  He communicated with us regularly to make sure everything went smoothly. The hotel is perfectly situated for beautiful views and walkable to town and the castle. The room was a bit tight, but perfectly clean and well decorated.  Water provided in room upon arrival. And the breakfast...WOW, it was the best in terms of presentation, options, freshness, and taste.  We were there in October and parking was available just outside the hotel. We had a great stay and highly recommend Rheinhotel!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It is in a great location. Breakfast was good and generous. The inn keeper was super knowledgeable and had great ideas for places to visit :)   We felt that this hotel was an excellent value. Restaurants in the area were booked so I would recommend working on that ahead of traveling.

A lovely little hotel by the river. The first surprise was that the owner called several hours before the official check-in time and said that our room was ready. We gladly took this opportunity. Upon arrival, the staff was very polite and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and most importantly for such a place - with a view of the river, plus a balcony with chairs and a small table. The beds are comfortable, the wifi is fast, there is also a fridge in the room. Breakfast is decent. Parking on the street, but there were no problems finding a place. Nice places to eat are also a few steps away from the hotel. All in all, everything was great. Since there is still much to see in the surrounding area, I would be happy to stay at the same place again.

Everything was easy about staying at this place. It was central to the area we wanted to explore and easy to find once we left the train, Gil was full of help and patient explanations, the room was very comfortable, and my gosh THE BREAKFAST! Easily the best looking and tasting breakfast we had during our two weeks in Europe. We would definitely stay here again.  

Perfectly located across from the ferry dock, nice and comfortable, friendly hosts. It's exactly what you want for a peaceful holiday on the Rhine, especially with those beautiful river views! I was even able to check in a bit early, which is helpful when carrying baggage.

Amazing location, super clean hotel, very comfortable beds and very nice employees! Would definitely recommend staying here. The river and castles are beautiful and you will love everything about this place.

The hotel has a perfect location! 
Our room was large and had a large balcony overlooking the river. So fun thatch the boats go by.
Lots of water pressure, comfy beds and a clean room. 
Gil was fantastic! He helped us each day create an itinerary of exploration- even including restaurant suggestions. He was spot on for everything and really made our stay in Sankt Goar perfect.
The breakfast was lovely with a beautiful tier of meats/cheese / veggies as well as a buffet. 
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend.
* my one suggestion would be to upgrade the shampoo offered… that was worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel but again, I’d stay here again with zero reservations*

We were very pleased with Room 7 with a balcony overlooking the town of St. Goar and the Rhine River. Gil had our room ready a little early which was so helpful after a long flight. 

It was lovely to open the balcony door and see the many cruise ships and barges moving up and down the river and enjoy the small table and chairs. The room was very clean and having a fridge was helpful. There was a luggage rack which helped and a closet to hang clothes plus shelves inside. There is no elevator (not an issue for us).

The breakfast was really terrific with protein and bread choices at the buffet plus Gil brings a 3 tiered tray of breakfast treats to your table. Gil also is very helpful with local info and the ferry for Rhine cruises is right across the street. We enjoyed the whole town which was just the right size and not overwhelmed with tourists.

We would happily return and spend a week as there is so much to see and do - scenic small towns, castles, chairlifts through vineyards or just relax on river cruises. Thanks, Gil!

Excellent host

Great location, very clean, lovely breakfast!

We only had one night here as a family of four. It had everything we could have hoped for from a hotel on the river Rhine. Wonderful river view from our bedroom, and some of the river-facing hotel bedrooms also have a balcony where you can sit out. Our family bedroom was actually like two adjacent twin bedrooms with a connecting door and ensuite. Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable, staff are helpful with any requests or queries. Breakfast was a delicious German-style spread of breads, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, yoghurts and fruits etc - all served in an annex room with magnificent river views. 

This hotel is right in the centre of St Goar, which is an attractive small riverside town with Burg Rheinfels castle overlooking from an adjacent hill, and lots of small cafes and nice restaurants nearby. Right next to the hotel is the ferry across to St Goarhouse and the Loreley rock and exhibition centre and park. 

Everything you could want from a hotel on the river Rhein

This darling hotel in quaint St. Goar was everything I’d hoped for and more. Comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Owner Gil held our luggage for us as we arrived quite early. After touring the castle ruins nearby we returned to find our room ready with our luggage delivered there. Above and beyond. The view from the porch was love at first sight and the breakfast in the lovely atrium with the river view was first class!  So delicious!  I hope I can return here someday!
