Résidences La Norma

We know La Norma very well ,we have skied there lots over the last 6 years and can highly recommend it . It's superb for its easy access off the Motorway and it's height at 1300 metres guarantees snow in the resort. There are no queues , lift passes are cheap and S ski hire cheap . This makes it an excellent learners resort ,there's no point in going to the larger resort where all the piste are busy to learn. The other great bit is down the Maurienne valley there are 20 or more satellite ski resorts all within an hours drive of here .There is even a bus from La Norma to the neighbouring resorts of Aussios, Velfrejus , Val Cenis which is a great resort and Orelle. Now thats when people who want a big day out can access the 3 vallies of Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens within a 20 minute drive of La Norma. As for the accomadation, yes as the previous comments , typically French therefore not best ever. Howver some of the private ones..look at Monsier Wolfs which is absolutely stunning , he has a few chalets that are newly refurbished to a great standard .Also agree with the restaurant recommendations ,Taos is some of the best food I have ever had ...Dahu also nice and the Grizzly Restaurant on the left side of the Mountain is great. Far cheaper than other Big resort prices
