We are really very disappointed about this accommodation. They overcharged us with 45$ but promised us to transfer the money back. We tried to contact them several times without success. On top of that the rooms look nice on the pictures but are poor when you are inside! Too bad they do not care about customers!

Overprized, bad service and overcharged

This is a basic decent service appartment. 

WiFi is good
Bed is good 

They don't even give bottles of water.
Breakfast is just bread, Jam, tea/coffee. Nothing else 

I was given room on 4th floor and there was no elevator too 

They don't have restaurant too

This hotel is one of the cheapen hotel in djibouti and its lacation is down town of the city where you can enjoy your weekend and walk aroud the city .if you like to see handicraft or take photo of independence palace its near by. 

Lagon bleu

Well, the location is great, if you for some reason want to stay close to the Place Melenik, which is just around the corner. I stayed in a small apartment at a good rate for Djibouti, about 81USD per night, and it was a spacious room with two double beds, a sitting room, a small kitchenette and a small bath. The kitchenette was absolutely useless, as there was nothing in it except for a small fridge. No cups, no cutlery, no water boiler, and the microwave oven had the wrong power - it had a three pin contact in a room with two pin power outlets. The bath was ok, but no light above the mirror, no soap and no shampoo. There was a safe in the cupboard, but out of service. Which leaves the bed and the sofagroup which was just fine. Breakfast was served in the room, two pieces of bread, a sweet bread, butter, jam and coffee or tea. Free wifi, but very unstable. Staff is fairly efficient, but not very friendly - expect no smiles from the hijabwearing women who front the reception. 
Please note that this is an islamic hotel, which means you can not share the room with anyone except your husband/wife - and bring the wedding certificate. Also no "alcoholic behaviour" - but I brought a bottle of red in the room anyway. No windows except towards the inner hall, which starts to get a bit noisy after 06, so bring your earplugs. And it is on the second floor, no elevator, if that is a problem for you. (But if you are not fit for walking, you should not visit Djibouti at all due to crazy traffic and cars parked on all the sidewalks.)

Nice - on the surface

Booked the hotel to stay while visiting my fiancé who resides on one of the military bases. No where on the website did it say you could not have your boyfriend/fiancé stay with you while there. After I checked in, I was informed of the policy and my fiancé was asked to leave. While I respect the religious views and culture of this region, I wish ,as a business, they would put this on the website. Because I was in a foreign land, did not speak the language and traveling to spend time with my fiancé, of course I had no intention of staying anywhere alone. I had already paid for the night when I was informed about the Islamic rule. I lost $80.00 on a room I did not stay in, and the hotel lost $600. We drove around until 3 am trying to find an affordable hotel with a room and accepting views. Luckily we did. If you will be staying in Djibouti and intend to have visitors of another sex, do not stay here. Also, there was only cold water for a shower that barely trickled and there was no microwave although, it was supposed to be included in the price. I was told a microwave was extra.

Islamic Hotel Rules

Wouldnt stay again!! Booked a King Room with booking.com for 75 USD per night. When I arrived this hotel I was given a room (#31) with no window and a low flow AC not cooling it at all and not matching the pics the hotel use to sell these rooms. After complaining to the recepcionist I was given a studio (separate room) with a kitchnet. He said It would Be ok for that first night but I Would Have To pay for the next two nights If I wanted to keep using it. The day After Ive been told the following nights would cost me 150 USD each. I left The hotel To The Atlantic Hotel paying just the 75 USD for The first night. They dont accept any credit cards or Euros. Only Djibouti Francs or USD. Had to use the ATM to withdraw.
At This hotel and as it seems with some other Djiboutian hotels (if we can call them like that according to European standards) they don't have a breakfast room. You will find signs in your room you are supposed to hang on outside your door on the night before, choosing what time you will want to have yours. If you forget to do so, you'll get nothing. So I left mine, woke up this morning, opened the door and... guess what?! It wasn't Christmas time!! There was nothing there for me. After asking to a lady I found On The stairs, She came with my "breakfast": coffee (could Have chosen tea), bread, butter, jam and a cinammon roll. Overpriced!!! Wouldnt stay again!

Poor

It's located in downtown. They serve breakfast in the room every morning. Tea, 10 pieces of bread, one tiny butter package, a little jam and something that looks like a cinnamon roll but tastes very different. There are cozy spacious rooms but no windows to the outdoors. Just inside windows kind of. It's afterall good value For what you get. Will probably stay again if i ever visit Djibouti again.
