RELAX Hotel

This hotel seems to have been taken from a Movie. I don't know if it qualifies for Rococo style or Chinese Art Deco (kind of) but it is special...and worth the detour. Just look at the pictures I have attached ,as I always do, so you can better understand what I mean. The rooms are rather spacious, my bathroom had no tub but a wide enough shower. Like all our 4 hotels during this tour on China all the amenities were included from the slippers and hair dryer and till even tooth paste and tooth brush. In short all the needed and well above average comfort Pros Not expensive, Big room, Irreproachable bathroom, Good location: 100m from a mall, a pharmacy and ... an hospital (might be useful), Good breakfast with plenty of choice in Chinese but also European food, Luxurious rococo museum style lobby. Cons The reception attendants did not speak English And something somehow weird though: When we got into the room we found on the armchair an empty pack of cigarettes (see the attached picture) and the room smelled of tobacco ?! I believe this is unusual (I checked with all the other members of my group and it was the only incident of this type) and therefore I believe it should not influence my rating. As I wrote the location might be convenient but it still is far from the center of Hangzhou. Bottom line, considering the price, the size of the room, the excellent breakfast and the perks of its location it deserves a solid 4* rating.
