Redclyffe Shore Motor Inn

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Decor was a little dated, but that added to the charm. Couldn’t ask for a better view.

The room was very nice and the view was fabulous.

Wonderful location, in a very pretty area.  Front desk service was amazing from start to finish, I highly recommend a stay here.

Outstanding, alas fishing season is over. We'll be back 4 times during Aug/Sep/Oct '25 to stay with you again. Mahalo

It's an older motel. Our room had a deck overlooking the river. Very large room.

Excellent, Absolutely fantastic, the view from our window was breathtaking, the room was very large and spotlessly clean, we will definitely stay here again, beds were extremely comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We took a walk down to the beach and saw a couple of whales and a bald eagle. Definitely our best trip, especially in the morning having coffee looking out the window at the ocean.

It is a quaint old Maine Motel with a great Harbour view.

I'm going to be honest; this isn't a modern property, and the room wasn't top notch, but it met our needs. The floorboards in the bathroom were squeaky and loose under the linoleum, and the decor is outdated. But it's also par for the course for a small-town motor inn. They aren't meant to be fancy; they are meant as a place to lay your head on your way to other destinations. The host/clerk was super friendly and gave us a list of things to do in the area, which we actually used on our way out the next day (the halfway marker for the northern latitude is nearby; kinda cool to see!) We picked up groceries in nearby Calais for dinner and just chilled in the room for the night. So, overall, if you need a reasonable priced place to lay your head just inside the Maine border, this is a good place to book.

Ocean View

It is a basic, older hotel that gets the job done. It was quiet and had a very good shower. My only complaint is the room floors are not level, which caused the head of the bed to be lower than the foot of the bed by a notable amount. I had flip the bedding and sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. The bed was comfortable, I just wish it would have been level. Otherwise it was a decent stay.

The room is  kind of retro like something from your grandma
's house in the 70s but it is clean and comfortable with a million dollar view from the deck outside the room. A lovely find on our way back from Halifax to Portland ME. The town of Eastport is close with nice places to eat. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. Loved our short stay. Would recommend any time.

Lovely place- unique

This was an amazingly quaint historical property. The water view from the room was gorgeous, the room was  huge and had interestingly dated details, the staff was awesome. We felt welcomed and cared for. The price was quite reasonable.Two caveats: the bed was somewhat uncomfortable and the area outside the room was filled with insects as would be expected given the woodlands and beautiful river/inlet. Nevertheless, I would absolutely stay there again.

This was the last stop on our 2-1/2 week holiday. We got there well ahead of schedule and asked the hostilities if we could possibly do a cancellation so that we could just drive straight home.  She was very accommodating, called into Expedia and got it canceled. Unfortunately I didn’t see rooms but hotel was very quaint and staff very friendly and accommodating.

The person who checked us in was very personable. Our room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. We only had a couple of minor issues. First, our toilet was plugged. We discovered the issue after the front desk was closed for the evening, so we plunged it ourselves. We went to report the issue before we left in the morning, but it was 7:00 and they don't open until 7:30. Also, we wanted to get a little ice for our water bottles, but the ice maker is in the reception area, so we couldn't get to it unless we wanted to wait a half hour.

Imagine an extra large room with a huge picture window.  A nice view of a little park, water, and the distant shore of Canada.  This is what we had the Redclyffe Shore Motor Inn.  After a couple days in the car, the large room was nice.   The King size bed was extra comfortable.  I only wish we had stayed longer than one night.  The early sunrise woke us up to a wonderful day in Maine.  One negative:  I would have preferred the bathroom light to be a little brighter, but it was fine.  

All About The View

We usually stay in chain hotels, so this was different for us.  Check in went very smoothly and the lady was very friendly.  Their restaurant was closed for the season, but she told us to stop by in the morning for a breakfast bag.  The bag had an apple, a granola bar, a mint, a small bottle of water and a blueberry muffin. We thought that was very nice since we weren't expecting anything from them.  The room was good size and a nice big window let us look out at the water.  The place was a bit dated, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.  There was a small fridge and the shower worked well.  It was also very quiet, which isn't always the case when you have outside doors.  There isn't much in the area and many places close up early.  It was a perfect spot for us to stay and do day trips.

Great Place to Stay

Stayed a couple of nights, it is a little dated but clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The restaurant closed a while back but the food is good in the area, just remember that places close earlier than most people are used to. Met some very nice friendly people and a day trip to Eastport was very charming. Park near the hotel is a nice place to walk.
