Real Backpackers Hostel Vang Vieng

If you want a party hostel, stay at Nana's. If you want a fun, chilled hostel where you can meet people by the pool or around the pool table or over breakfast, stay here. Mostly bunk rooms but with a couple of private rooms and it was just as easy to meet people whether you were in either. Great location. We went tubing and were on the same trip as everyone staying in Nana's so had a party day with them and you can go down there in the evening if you want, but this hostel is closer to the bars.

We come here every Friday and are always welcomed with a big smile!

This is my favourite hostel in Laos. I booked for a night and ended up staying for two weeks! 

The hostel has everything a backpacker needs: comfy beds, free breakfast, plenty of showers, great WiFi, friendly English speaking staff and a great vibe.

In addition it has a super clean swimming pool,free whiskey daily and a pool table!

The hostel is in the center of town so easy access to everything. They can arrange buses, tubing or a visa for Vietnam for you at a good price. Just remembered when you get your visa invitation letter you have to take it to the Vietnamese consulate in Luang Prabang or Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane to get the Visa put in your passport. You can request the invitation letter for which ever city you need and then the simply go and pay the stamp fee and pick up your visa. This is the same where ever you get your Vietnam Visa. The people complaining about getting rejected at the boarder clearly hadn't collected their visas. #SchoolBoyError

Best hostel in Vang Vieng

Best hostel in town!

Stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Vang Vieng. When booking our bus for the next destination (Hanoi), a staff member suggested that we should use their visa service. The visa should have guaranteed us entry on arrival at the border and 30 days to travel in Vietnam. The staff member emailed us the visa to print and stated that it would be accepted upon arrival. At the border, all visas were rejected, as they were not origanal copies. The staff member would have known this, yet was more than happy to accept our $20. We have emailed the staff member several times to explain our situation, he has shown no remorse and no longer replies. Had we not possessed a British passport, where 15 days are offered for free, we would have been stuck at the border. He also stated that our bus would have onboard WiFi, this was also untrue. The hostel itself was ok, the beds were comfortable, yet there was a smell of damp in the room. We found a better atmosphere and friendlier staff at nana backpackers.

Dishonest Staff

Stayed at this hostel and paid for the visa service, which should have guaranteed us entry into Vietnam. We followed all instructions given to us and printed copies of the visa before getting to the Laos/Vietnam border and we all got refused entry. This happened to two different groups of backpackers that paid for the service through this hostel. 
Having made contact with the hostel after this, they are now ignoring all of our emails in trying to resolve this problem, leaving us stuck in Vietnam and struggling to extend the visa further.
Do not trust this hostel!!

Awful Visa Service

- Unclean and poor facilities.
- Dirty and awfull smelling bedsheets!
- Deleted my  so i couldn’t write a      
   review.
- Unfriendly staff. They Just laughed when 
   said it was dirty and that there are  
   cockeroaches on the beds!
