It was dark when we arrived. However we received a delightful welcome from Ann who showed us up to our room. We were in the Brass Bed bedroom. I thought it was quintessentially English. There was a lovely TV, WiFi, heating, fan if it was too hot, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, BATHTUB ( I hate showers!) as well as a shower, great lighting, lovely pictures on the wall & delightful ornaments decorating the room. Although what some people may term old-fashioned I thought it was just great and it totally fitted the character of the place. Ann was a delightful host. We had what was probably the best breakfast we had ever had. I just wish I was able to spend another night there. If you like reading books and walking the dog you will love it.
