Quinta Da Ponte

I have been there in June 2011.

The rooms are very clean and as expected to a normal standard 3 star room. There are a total of 5 apartments with 2 rooms in each one.

The surroundings are very beautiful, lots of trees and flowers inside the property.
It has also a good-sized swimming pool which the guests can use.
The breakfast is well served with some variety in food.

Note that it is located more or less 5 km from the city, Guarda.

I have no complaints about Quinta da Ponte, and I would recommend this place if you are searching for a calm, quiet and relaxing spot in Guarda and nearby.

A quiet place to relax!

The rooms are quaint, not modern, and clean.  Our room had a bedroom, living room and bathroom.  It had amenities such as hair dryer, hot water, etc.  We stayed there in September and found the room cold and damp.   The owner was very nice and helpful.

I believe we were the only people staying there. It is a remote place and very quiet.  We could not find it on the GPS but called the place and the owner came and found us and we followed him back.   The only restaurant is up the hill about a kilometre away.  Food was very good and we were treated very well at the restaurant but keep in mind it is a local place.

Quinta da Ponte is 300+ years old and we were told it is mainly used on weekends now for weddings.  The owner gave us a complete tour.  Very interesting as the on site church and house are basically in original condition with the furnishing to go with it.

I'd sum it up to say it is a unique and historical stay but if you don't like unusual places, go somewhere else.
