Quinta da Bela Vista

A wonderful hotel, an old colonial style hotel from the late 18th early 19th century. Communal areas furniture to match the time period. All rooms stylist with comfortable beds and modern amenities, set in a semi rural peaceful setting with well kept gardens and ponds with fish. A choice at breakfast of traditional English breakfast with eggs done to your liking if you asked them. Choice of cereals, fruit. Cheese, meats and cakes. Staff friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Poolside bar offering snacks and drinks. Evening meal was included for one evening only, if you wanted a second evening you had to pay and was expensive but food was first class and worth it. Although the poolside bar offered snacks up until 9.30 pm. Only negative comment would be that we weren't informed prior to our visit that the hotel only accepted card payments for everything, cash was not acceptable. Pool area well kept, free mattress for the sun loungers and free towels supplied daily.
