Pumulani Lodge

I planned a Cowgirl bachelorette in the Pumulani lapa and from the start I received wonderfull assistance from Esmarie, Julia and Kai who turned a blind eye at our bottomless waiter.
The weather was freezing but the food was hot and very tasty and the venue was just fantastic.
......and you wont find better value for money! 50% of other quoted prices.
Highly recommended for functions especially if you want to dress it up.

Bachelorette Party

First when we arrived the gate bell didn't work. We stood there and eventually another car from the inside opened the gate, when we got to reception there was no person to be seen. We walked around and finally inside the Kitchen we got somebody to help us. When we got to our room it was full of mosquitoes. The ceiling fan did not even work and we could not open windows because of all the mosquitoes. When i opened the fridge the smell was horrible even though it was clean. There was not even a kettle with cups or milk provided for coffee. Overall the room was clean but will not in future stay their again. We found a housekeeping lady who then provided us with a kettle and doom.

Average Expierence

A terrible experience. Not only did they cancel a booking for which we had paid a deposit but then they did not even refund the deposit - and it is now over two months already. This despite the fact that we called and emailed them several times and they confirmed in writing that they would pay it back.

Don't book there

We booked 5 rooms about 3 months ago(paid in full) and contacted the owner to ask if we can maybe cancel 3 of the rooms as the wedding we would have had now in Nov, is not taking place anymore. She said that there is no problem and will give back our money for the 3 rooms. We still wanted 2 of the rooms for a different function which we already paid in full. Then she let us know that they are having a conference that same wekend and that she is going to cancel the other 2 rooms as well!! She still hasn't paid our money back, and keep on having excuses!!! Our function is this weekend and we still don't have accommodation and still don't have our money back.  Wonder if we will ever get our money back!!!!! This is BAD!!!!

We payed deposit and the owner told us she cancelled our room!!!!

We managed to scare away an intruder who was entering our room through a bathroom window. We have suffered trauma. The security at the hotel consisted of one security guard who we had to find. Management have not even phoned to see if we are alright or even offered a refund. Please avoid this hotel if you value your safety.
