Fantastic
We were there for five nights, and it was perfect. Our host, Diego, was super friendly and helped us out with booking day passes into the national park and reservations to the local hot spring spa. I knew I liked him when he appeared with 2 very dramatic stag-horn beetles called a “Darwin’s beetle”, hardly 5 minutes after we arrived. We did two spectacular hikes in the nearby national park, and took advantage of their local guide to do a kayak outing to a natural hot springs. We saw two sea lions and a pod of dolphins, all under a cobalt blue sky day. The airtight fireplace in our cabin was amazing, always set to just put a match to it and, voila, a fire. Our first night was cold with torrential rains and classic Patagonia winds, perfect weather for sitting fireside with a drink. The Posada is close to the outflow of the Rio Queulat, and there is a nice little hike on the property along the river edge.
