This a wonderful place to stay if you want a 'feels like home' experience in San Cristobal, for me, it definately was, I felt great the whole month I was there, It  was a very peaceful place and also the staff: Karina,Kirby and Vero helped to make the experience a great one, muchas gracias amigos!! . For sure this place and the people I met, will stay in my heart forever.
Btw. The terrace view is a plus, next to la casa is caldos el caldero, delicioso, and if you like dogs, gimbo, choco and blue will be there to give you some dog love.

One of a kind experience ! /Experiencia Única!

I've stayed in many hostels in my life, and I can say posada micasa has been one of the best.
In most other places it always lack a few basic things, but here everything works as intended: there is always hot water, pressure, gaz, cleanliness, no noise at night...
The rooms are spacious enough, mattresses are good, pillows too. 
The owners are nice and everyone else here was buena onda :).
Good kitchen, rooftop and sofas, so it's very easy to make friends. 
It was a great stay that gives me nostalgia!

Everything perfect

I've been traveling through México already for a while and at this place I felt for the first time like being at home. The staff is great and the athmosphere very laid back and relaxed. I can only reccommend it.

This place is calm and quiet But depending on travelers this could not be a bit more fun. 
At the time there was only one hot shower, it's enough in low season.
I enjoyed having a peaceful time at this place.
The kitchen is spacious and there's a huge table to share with more people.

Even when the house has new walls painted, HOSPITALITY and BASIC SERVICES where MISSING while our staying.
 In our visit to sancristobal for the last years to posada mi casa use to be so warm and  welcoming to travellers with the previuos owner Anna, as we came back over and over. surprisingly this time my son and my self stayed in this posada for 5 weeks until the NEUROTIC attitude and ALCOHOLIC habbits,from the new owner of this posada, an old spanish man, dump us out when we ask for the services missing. trough the time we were there, we observe that this intransigent foreiner man, has just one goal: money.  he gave different prices of the rooms to people, there's no price´s list in reception.in several times we were missing  the basic services as water in toilettes, shower and kitchen. also soap or toilette paper, matches for the stove, sponge for dishes etc... so we had to buy´m.  but the most important thing: there's NO TRANQUILITY for guests as long as the old man deals with his  nervous breakdown, many times a week. we realize that for the price we paid in a double room with out anything more than 2 beds we could find many more cheapest places even in the same block. if you dont have other option and stay here, my warning is: ASK FOR RECIPT, so you wont be ript off and save your buzz, cigarrets and food in your own room as the owner says: "what is in my house is mine!" this attitude makes me think that people who doesnt understand about hospitality and respect to each others shouldnt  be running a guests house and behives like this should be denunced. this house deserves a better owner!!!

In my travells sadly the worst experience ever!

The hostel was clean, simple, and well-cared for. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and he makes the hostel feel like a homey and comfortable place. It's right near the center and is overall a great deal.
