Posada Lilia

Nice room block from beach everything in town easy walk. Hot water worked, as did wifi. I would use it again.

Charming little posada! Very clean and comfortable.

Posada Lilia is not the Hotel Grand FiFi. It is a charming posada with clean rooms with basic needs satisfied with water, hot and cold; A/C. Sat TV and a locking door. The property is clean and the staff and owner are very friendly and helpful,  We stayed here on our way from the US to Playa del Carmen and we came back with friends for a weekend side trip. The fact that we returned to Lilia says it all.

The hotel is perfect for the price and location.  The staff (a family) was excellent-very accomadating and friendly.  Clean!  No complaints!

We stayed there for three nights after travelling across the Yucatan Peninsula.  The room was basic but clean, the host was friendly and to be honest for the price you pay, it’s a pretty good deal. Although the beach in Celestún is not exactly covered in fine white sand, there are countless shells to be picked for our children who spent hours making the biggest necklace with Shells. 

We just love the proximity of the hotel to the beach and central plaza. 

One thing we did notice is a hat people don’t tend to go to the restaurant until after 9pm.

Price is inexpensive. Place is simple, clean and conveniently located very close to the beautiful beach. Refridgerator and wifi. Staff helped us find a guide to take a boat to see the flamingos. Enjoyed our stay.

The hotel doesn't look much from the street and the rooms are basic, but we liked it. The owner is very kind, he told us where the nearest laundry is and helped with everything we needed. The beach is really close and so are some nice restaurants - we especially loved La Palapa. They also have a little common area, which was great for us, because we were two families traveling together, so we had some breakfast there and the kids could run around ...

My daughter and I stayed in Posada Lilia one night. We arrived around 4pm on Saturday after visiting the Flamingos. It took a moment to realize the office is two houses down the street from the hotel itself. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything functioned well. The hot water took about two minutes to arrive, but it was plenty hot. We asked to and were allowed keep the room later on Sunday so we could have a place to clean up after hanging out on the beach. We had a great little vacation and won't hesitate to stay at Posada Lilia the next time we visit.

Pleasant stay in Celestun

Our original hotel cancelled our reservations a week before we were to arrive. We took our chances and went with Posada Lilia and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has about 14 rooms on two levels. It’s not fancy but we found it to be very clean. No one spoke very much English but we were able to check in and get around.The beach was about a block away and the location was very convenient. We left our car parked during the whole time we were there which a day and a half. The town is very compact so driving and parking is not worth it.The AC was very cold. The ceiling fan was quiet. The bathroom looked remolded as everything was in clean tile. I wished they had a thin blanket on the beds. The only covering we had was the sheets on the beds. The small refrigerator was a nice added amenity. In back of the hotel is wash rack and cold water shower to rinse off sand and the salt from after your swim in the ocean.There is a small walk up counter type store next door and on the other side is the building where you would check in.The reasons why I enjoyed the hotel were the price, location, cleanliness and the people. Once again, no one there spoke English and we didn’t expect them to, after all we’re visitors in their country, but we managed to have a very peaceful and relaxing visit to Celestun.

The hotel has all necessary amenities, it is clean, spacious, accessible. A great value for the price. The owners expected me and treated me well.  The reservation was hassle free. They acommodated my late check out without problems. It is a local business.
