We loved our stay Pimento Lodge! It's stunningly beautiful place. The owners put a lot of care into the property and it shows. They also put their hearts into it. We thoroughly enjoyed conversations with the lovely hosts and missed them when we left.

An ideal location for exploring the East Coast of the Island.  Pimento Lodge is idyllic with a superb location above the Caribbean giving exceptional views.  The rooms are comfortable and clean - each with a balcony/terrace facing the sea and all with aircon when the heat and humidity are high, but the gentle breeze due to the elevation is often all that is needed.  The restaurant/dining area is a gem.... the excellent hosts (Kate and Lloyd) prepare superb local dishes with many ingredients sourced from the gardens of the hotel and there is a bar to provide the drinks.  We spent a few of our evenings chatting away with Lloyd and Kate after our meal and they can give advice and contacts regarding the local excursions and places of interest (the river rafting was an example - their contact here, Steve, is the man to captain your raft).  Other places nearby (apart from the beaches) are Porto Antonio, Boston Bay (home of Jerk) and Reach Falls

Hidden gem on the East Coast

We really enjoyed this hidden treasure location in the mountains. This beautiful hotel has been build by the owners (Lloyd and Kate). It has 8 rooms and can host around 20 guests. We enjoyed the pool with a stunning ocean view. Over and above the breakfast the owners offered us a self cooked dinner every night. Most is cooked organically straight from the garden. The bar offered a variety of drinks to accommodate dinner. The warm hearted owners provided us a serine ambiance to recharge and relax. 

This location is great to explore the east part of the island: Range Falls, Boston Beach, Frenchman’s Cove (our favorite beach) Rio Grande rafting and various mountain hikes. 
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this part of the island.

Beautiful location, wonderful host, stunning ocean view

Kate and Lloyd are incredible hosts and do all they can to make you feel at home. They are wonderful storytellers and caring people -- we loved meeting them and spending time with them. Their property is delightful for any nature lover. We spent hours birdwatching and taking in all the fruits and plants on site. The facilities are clean -- and also rustic (i.e. not fancy in a modern way). It's also a shame -- and not the hosts' fault -- that the road to get to the lodge is so beat up. Pimento Lodge is a nature-lover's paradise and we are so grateful for our time in this slice of heaven.

If you're looking for a true Jamaican experience while visiting the island you could not ask for a better place to stay than Pimento Lodge. Kate and Lloyd are warm and welcoming. They are truly like your best friends that you visit. We spent many mornings and evening chatting like we've known each other for years. They were so helpful as well, from arranging a guide for rafting down the Rio Grande to putting us in touch with a mechanic when we had an issue with our rental car. 

The lodge sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views but is just a short walk away from the beach. The room itself was bright, spacious and very clean. The grounds were nicely kept with a garden of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs. Breakfasts and dinners were wonderful, from the food to the conversations. I feel lucky that we've found this gem of a place and will definitely return!

A wonderful find

First of all, I can't thank enough Lloyd and Kate for their hospitality. Everyday during the breakfast we'd a good time talking several subjects with them, from soccer to politics.
They made everything to help us.
The place is a piece of heaven, with lot of green area. Nice pool also.
The cleaning is something to highlight also.

I can't recommend enough Pimento Lodge!

Words cannot describe

Kate and Llyod proved to be excellent hosts. The property was as advertised. Fresh ingredients harvested from the property made meals special. I would say the property pulls you away form high tech devices to a place you can just relax.

We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed every minute. Lloyd and Kate are absolutely delightful people and very soon make you feel like you are visiting new friends in their wonderful, great home and not simply staying in a hotel at all. When you learn that Lloyd personally created this beautiful property from the ground up, devoting love and attention to every detail, you understand why this is such a special place. Here you immediately are comfortable, Lloyd and Kate are ready to help you find your way around, and there are fabulously beautiful coves and waterfalls to visit during the day for a swim, for snorkeling, or even to learn to surf. In the evening, you can walk down from the hotel to an excellent seafood restaurant (called Secrets) that is right on the beach and dine to the sound of the waves. I cannot recommend Pimento Lodge highly enough. We went as a family (ages 23 to 70) and every one of us loved it. We all feel incredibly lucky to have discovered it and spent our vacation here!

An absolutely wonderful place

An amazing location Property well maintained with beautiful artwork around the place. Rooms tasteful, clean and comfortable.Beautiful views and peaceful spaces.We enjoyed the breakfasts which was provided depending on what’s available.The hosts are wonderful people who made us feel at home and were lovely company too.  Lloyd plays an eclectic mix of tunes at the bar : )We will certainly be back to Pimento Lodge when in Jamaica.

Throughly enjoyed my 4 nights stay at Pimento Lodge with my siblings. Lloyd & Kate were wonderful hosts well supported by friendly staff. I would definitely come back and more importantly recommend this place. Dennis xx
