Pension La Castel

This place is brilliant. Absolutely fantastic room with for poster bed and slipper bath. Loads of space in the room. We stayed for 2 nights b & b and it cost £86.00.

Breakfast is served down stairs in another amazing room. Choice at breakfast is good with great omelettes.

The pension is located in a quiet location about 10 minutes from the old town where there is loads to see and do. If you arrive by train it is probably best to get a taxi as we had trouble finding the place.

Bodham was an amazing host. He was very knowledgeable and was happy to assist in anyway he could.

We would definitely stay again.

Located within walking distance from the Citadel (it took us about 10 min) this place has very clean, nice and large rooms with high ceiling, free private parking and extremely friendly staff. They provide coffee and tea free of charge all day long. A very good value for money accommodation.

Amazing restoration of the old mansion, managed to keep the the majority of the old wooden beams, amazing decor of the house and rooms.  
Very quite and picturesque area. 
Great staff members, helpful, happy to assist and guide you. Parking available and relaxing back yard.

La Castel is located about 10 minutes by foot from the old town of Sighișoara. The rooms are spacious and the ceiling is very high. There is no air conditioning, but our room remained quite cool despite the 35 degree Celsius temperature outside. The only drawback in the room is that the bathroom is a bit dated and could use a renovation. The breakfast is inexpensive and you get your money’s worth (no less, no more). The staff was friendly.

Like a small castle

We went to Romania for a 14 days trip and visited and slept in 8 different hotels. unfortunately I have never seen such a poor hotel, facilities and treatment from the hotel staff. Because we have too much complaints, I decided to summ up everything.

1. When we arrvived to the hotel, our friends got a room that had a smell of mold. The got transfered to the room above us.
2. We had a tub in our room which was extremely high. My fiancee felll once while trying to get out of the tub. Not suitable for older people.
3. The curtins wasn't opaque, so it was very difficult to sleep when the sun was shining at morning.
4. While walking inside the room, the floor shook and squeak all the time. We heared our friends in the room above us walking. We also heared them in the hower, and they flushed the toilet.
5. The tap in the bathroom was dripping even when we closed it fully.
6. There was a leaking from the ceiling when our friends in the room above us showered. They didn't fix the problem so they had to take their shower some place else.
7. There is no air conditioning or any active heating. There is only a passive heater that turns on when the tempreture is lower than 20 degrees. In the second night the heater unfortunately didn't work at all.
8. The WIFI router is located on the first floor. We could hardly get any signal from the WIFI in our room which was on the second floor. Third floor didn't have any signal at all.
9. From what we saw, the hotel has 3 floors but no elevator. It was very difficult to go to the room with our luggage.
10. There is no lighting outside of the hotel and in the driveway.
11. There in no reception in the hotel. Our tour guide just gave us the keys when we arrive.
12. There wasn't any room service. No one made our bed in the morning and replaced our towels.
13. Very poor breakfest.
14. After the first day at the hotel, we wanted to cancel our second night because of all the problems we had, but the hotel manager didn't agree to cancel the rest of our reservation.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
