Pension Aldebaran

Aldebaran is a great little pension in the heart of Potos, 2 minutes from the city beach in the main street of Potos. Very kind owners who helped us with all our questions. Nice simple clean room and bathroom, big balcony, small shared kitchen where you can prepare some simple food, wi-fi and most beautiful gallery and gift shop on all Thassos. Strong recommendation !!!!!!

Potos is located in a part of the island where you can find the most beautiful beaches (You do need a car to reach them, though). Aldebaran is right in the middle of the town center where you can find supermarkets, groceries, bakeries or taverns. The owners are super hospitable people who help you with everything you need! They were so nice to give us a bottle of fine organic olive oil as a present before we left. The rooms are not too big but they are clean. The bathrooms are newly renovated and quite nice. All in all, I would definitely recommend it for everyone who is not looking for absolute luxury.

Great host, nice and clean rooms, nice view and great location. I recommend! The pension is situated near taverns, shops and near the beach. A minus is that you don't have parking at the pension but eventually it was not a big problem. We enjoyed our stay there and if we are returning to Thassos sometime, I would return with pleasure at Aldebaran. 

The last three summers my family and I have stayed here at pension Aldebaran for one or two weeks. Usually we get a flat with four beds, bathroom and a kitchen. Nice, clean and perfect for us. The house is situated in one of the main streets of Potos, so it is easy to go to the beach, to a restaurant or on a drive around the south coast of the island.  The atmosphere is lively and authentic without being touristic. We love to stay in the courtyard in the afternoon or the evening meeting some of the other guests. I can really recommend it.

Authentic and hospitable atmosphere

Clean but basic room, small bathroom. We booked one room at Aldebaran and they give us one room in the separate part of the buiding. No wifi in the room and on the balcony, no parking, very noisy day and night. Average note: 6,5. I do not reccomend.
