This was our first year not doing the boat to France campsite family holiday. We flew into pisa and hired a car and found Paradù easily. Check in was easy and got our bags dropped to our accommodation. We booked the gorgona chalet which was very spacious and comfortable. Two of the bedrooms are big doubles and one was small bunk room which was perfect for our two younger kids. The showers are fantastic. The kitchen was basic enough with an induction hob and microwave. There are no bbqs allowed (in a forest) but we cooked some lovely one pot wonders and eat out too quite a bit. The accommodations are cleverly laid out as it maximises privacy and space. The pools are lovely but can be quite busy but the highlight for us was the beach! The water was so warm and the kids absolutely loved it. The Restaurants are all pretty good too! i didnt think they were overpriced. We had a couple of orders messed up but this was down to lost in translation! staff all great and the overall cleanliness of the place was excellent. If travelling from ireland or uk with kids i could see it being hard for your kids to find friends as it seems to be mainly italian swiss and germans here. We travelled with another family so our kids had their friends. Other things we did was the water park in cecina which was ok. a trip to volterra was amazing and theres a gorgeous village called bolgheri with many restaurants. We also got the train from the nearby village of doratico to pisa for a day which took the stress out of driving... very easy (just book tickets to climb tower couple of days before to get spot) Overall i can highly recommend a stay in paradu.
