Our stay here was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We decided to extend our stay in Jamaica and the Airbnb we were at wasn't available and extra night. We reserved 3 rooms just to have a place to rest after our day of excursions. We arrived at approximately 10pm. No one was available but "security." He was USELESS and I felt unsafe, like I needed security for the security. He had his sleazy friends hanging around making inappropriate comments to the female guests. We asked him for washcloths because there weren't ANY in our three rooms and only a couple towels. He told us he didn't have any. After we demanded he call someone, he finally brought us a few towels (not enough for our guest size) and five DINGY washcloths. We had 8 people in our  party. They looked like someone had cleaned a car engine with them. His attitude and disposition was as deplorable as the living conditions. There was mold in the bathrooms. The showerheads we're broken and dry rotted. They didn't pay the dishnetwork bill because a shut off notice stayed on the screen and prevented us from watching TV. The electrical outlets were hanging and dangerous to use. There were no comforters on the beds. The list goes on and on. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone.

Worst experience ever!

Was comfortable and affordable . Was also easy to find . Rooms were clean and I love the hot water most of all. Staff were accommodating and helpful.  I just had a problem with parking which felt like I was parking on the road side but everything else was ok

For pleasure

I stayed at the Palm Bay guest house for 5 nights and 6 days! The service was nothing shy of excellent! The people where super friendly! The view was amazing and the food was incredible! The restaurant played great music! Last but not least you have plenty of privacy!! I can't wait to go back

Amazing View

Came into an inadquate parking lot for this size palcr, on a late check in and greeted by a front desk that didnt seem particularly interested in either being polite, helpful or interested at all. Ended up getting a room, literally under the stairs that felt like it was something for staff. Everything outdated as well. An AC that blew straight on the bed with no blanket, just the sheet and bedspread. Tired and needing to do some work, had a shower with thankfully some hot water then sat at the corner of the bed to work because there was no other surface space to rest a laptop. Woken up later by a drunken man yelling outside my window, which the security did nothing to help. Next morning ignored at breakfast verandah so didnt bother have anything not even a coffee... And spent the rest of the day itching from not sure what. 

Couldnt pay me to stay here again

We stay here every time we visit Jamaica, about once every 2 or so years. The food is always sooooo good! So much better than at the Resorts. Resort food is catered to American visitors and rarely factor in real Jamaican cuisine. The food here is spectacular! Jerk Pork & Jerk Chicken are my favorite. The staff is friendly and the price can't be beat. We go into town for activities and buy day passes at a nearby all inclusive if we want to do water activities. And Ms. Dayes, the owner is most accommodating! Enjoy your stay!

Best place to stay in Montego bay!

The place was very clean and relaxing. Cute gardens and secluded. The food was amazing! There were ants in our room but that didn't bother us at all. Its kind of expected coming to a tropical environment. The place was really quiet but was close enough to the airport that we could leave and be there on time for our flight.

Good on a Budget

This review is for the restaurant on the premises. Best meal of my entire trip to Jamaica which included several days in Negril. We went here based on the recommendation of a local taxi driver and I'm so glad we did. It's small and quiet and we were the only diners there but the taste and price can't be beat. I really wanted to go back but never made it. I'll definitely return on my next trip to Jamaica. 

Excellent food

Very comfy room/ bed, US standard bathroom, FANTASTIC restaurant and value for money. I stayed in Negril for most of trip and had early flight next day from Montego Bay, so stayed 1 day here before flying out. Best curry goat I have eaten anywhere and its a must try! Cool AC can be very useful in summer.

Not much of negative. I knew going in that it is little far from attractions (like 20 min away from Dr. Cove beach which can cost $40 round trip for 4 adults) and approx 25 min from airport.
