Stayed in Orbita Boutique Hotel for 4 days and really enjoyed my stay! Upon entering the hotel it was very aesthetically pleasing, a very unique hotel I must say. The room I had was a mix of European/Japanese design which I've never seen and was delightful. But what I loved the most about my room is the overall cleanliness. You can tell by how well they maintain the rooms which smelled great from the upkeep of the scent of the woods they had in the furniture and parts of the room. Also, the hotels staffing and hospitality was one of the best Iv'e experienced. Even though there was a language barrier, they did their best to accommodate their guests needs. A huge plus for the hotel is, how great the hotel price is. I stayed at one of the most expensive hotels in Shymkent, Hotel Rixos, and I would prefer to stay at this hotel to an extent considering the value you get staying at Orbita Boutique Hotel. The breakfast was really great and delicious, and more food than I can eat and quite healthy. So overall, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and would most definitely stay at this hotel again if I come back to Shymkent!

Lovely interior design, spacious rooms, lots of sitting spaces in corridors. Large fish tanks in breakfast room which has intriguing red glass ceiling. Charming courtyard garden.Exceptionally friendly & courteous staff who all speak good English - a bonus in Shymkent! They go out of their way to assist and advise.Breakfast  can be taken at any time ... even 11.00am! Delicious range to choose from. Bar and dinner served, although they have gin there is no tonic! Oops!Buses to access centre 70 KZT but taxis are  cheap, 500 KZT wherever you go.

I spent 1 night here. My room was clean & quiet.  My only complaint was that the AC did not work well, and my room remained quite warm the entire night.  Wifi was good, bed was soft.  Also their restaurant has cold draft beer.

Nice place

This hotel very well run, a welcoming gem. The staff is attentive and eager to help. Nikita helped arrange day trips and made sure our room was comfortable. We had plenty of space in the standard double, a firm bed with new bedding, and a stylish bathroom. We had dinner preordered in the restaurant most nights, plov one night, tasty Korean food another. Aziza helped us choose good dishes to try. It’s not in the center, but there’s a wonderful urban park nearby, and it’s cheap and easy to get cabs with Yandex or with the staff’s help. 

Wonderful small hotel with warm service and good restaurant 

This hotel is a hidden gem in Kazakhstan's third largest city. The staff are ver welcoming and very helpful. They managed to get in touch with Air Astana for me when the latter cancelled their flight. The room is very cosy and splendidly furnished. The internet is extremely fast. The staff organised taxis for me and took the trouble of explaining to the non-english speaking taxi drivers where I wanted to go. In all, a delightful night's stay. The owner Vadim is also very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves Korean food which is a real bonus.

Best Boutique Hotel in Kazakhstan

We spent two night at the Orbita Boutique Hotel in Shymkent last summer in mid-August 2017 and not to spoil the surprise but it was fantastic! While we were mostly there for work we only spent time at the hotel at night sleeping but the sleep was restful, the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful with everything we needed. The hotel is clean, affordable, the only drawback is it is not really central but still handy to all points that you would need to get to, just be aware that it is not officially “downtown”. Lots of great cafes and dining options around the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The place to be in Shymkent

Extremely helpful staff! 24 hours before departure, I received a call from the hotel asking for my itinerary if I wanted a free pickup from the airport. Check-in time is when you arrive. Breakfast and dinner included in room rate. Food uniformly good. Thai-style meat, Korean beef soup, and excellent salmon steak (this costs €9) are on offer. Clean and hygienic room, done in Uzbek style, I had €5 per night upgrade to a suite with a recline-against-pillows dining cove. Room decor and lighting are tasteful. Bathroom with all amenities. Bar has Czech beer on tap, cold, and never too much froth. Most of all, people are most friendly, and willing to engage and accommodate, even arrange taxi trips for me to change currency. Strongly recommended folks!

Great stay!

V comfortable and good size room (No5). But there was no natural light in this room so it was quite dark. We also had a sort of balcony off the bedroom which gave us a nice sitting area. There was only frosted glass in this so you couldn't look outside. Fridge and kettle available in the room
Lots of products in bathroom. English speaking staff.

No rooms with twin beds - despite having asked for these 5 months ago, and they confirmed. 
Restaurant is dark and brown. Lots of plants and wooden screening. 
Good breakfast with yoghurt, fresh fruit toast and cheese triangles. we had to order cooked breakfast night before but there are pictures to choose from. 

Good at responding to emails. English spoken 
It is a little way from main sights (such as they are in Shymkent) and we did lots of walking.
No map of Shymkent available at the hotel. They were extremely helpful and gave us a lift to bus stop and found us a driver to take us to the Uzbek border to cross to Tashkent. I feel they need to address some of the service issues but they couldn't have been more helpful
