Olympic Hotel and Resort

I arrived there late in the evening and me and my husband were very impressed by there hospitality. The language bareer might be quite challenging in Azerbaidjan but the manager spoke English and was very helpful ( we found out later that all the people in this country, no matter of this impediment, were sooo kind and warm that we didn't have to speak any language. They do some "magic" and I assure you that you will understand all and feel like home :))). Anyway, we got an upgrade of the room without even asking! The manager, from the very begining, wanted to assure that we will have a nice stay there. The room was very. clean and the bathroom newly renovated, modern, cozy, with everything working properly, There's also a balcony where you can stay and enjoy the view to the big pool, the village and the Caspian Sea in the background. The pool is very clean and the water is at the perfect temperature to stay in there for hours if you want. There are sun chairs, umbrellas, big wooden tables if you wanna have lunch or dinner arround the pool. In other words, if you want to spend all the day inside the hotel you will enjoy every moment. They also have a bawling room and gym. A few words about breakfast included: The menu is fix for all the guests. You'll get an omlet, some cheese, a saussage, some butter, some honey, few olives, some tomatoes, some cucumber and bread. As hot drink, only tea so, coffe lovers pay attention. NO coffe included! Also water, milk or soft drinks NOT included in your breakfast. They are available on extracharge. I found out later that coffe is quite expensive in Azerbaidjan. Is around 2 EUR on the street and in restaurants around 4-5 EUR..like in airports! :)) Outside the hotel ,along the street, at the short walking distance, tou'll see many markets, some restaurants( try PITI or PLOV, you'll never forget:))), family business where you'll find their special bread, chicken, lamb, cheese, vegetables, fruits, etc. The train station is at 10 mns walk and the beach at 40 mns walk (there are buses each 5-7 mns that will take you there). So, in conclusion, this hotel was our home for 10 days and we enjoyed every single moment!!! Many, many thanks to all the staff. I highly recommend it!!!
