My husband & I stayed 5 nights at ocean tally. We came with 2 other couples. Each of us stayed in our own private cottage that overlooked the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. We woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise. Annette our lovely & informative hostess & Miles our very entertaining host had a fabulous breakfast for us every morning either in the lighthouse building or out under the pergola. The Atlantic side was very “ragey” as the islanders put it, but fortunately ocean tally owns property down & across the street on the harbor side that was absolutely beautiful, calm, & tranquil where we were able to paddle board & kayak in clear water that was full of sea turtles, huge red starfish, conch, & rays. 
The weather was perfect. We all had an amazing time & definitely will come back to the island again.

Beautiful & tranquil cottages

Ocean Tally, like Eleuthera, is not for everyone, but if you want to get away, sleep in a beautiful freestanding cabin with a gorgeous view of the ocean, and have a wonderful home cooked breakfast every morning, then come here! Annette and Miles are incredibly nice and accommodating. Miles will tell you stories and Annette will suggest excursions and help you decide where to go for dinner. Rent a four wheel drive, but otherwise it’s perfect. Easy to get to from the airport and easy to go over to Harbour Island if you want to see more people and shops! Walk to their private dock and borrow a book from the Whale Point Little Library:)

A wonderful experience!

If you can imagine a secluded escape that is the perfect balance of nature and luxury then you are dreaming of Ocean Tally. OceanTally is artfully( & thoughtfully ) curated to provide a welcoming retreat that brings natural elements and rich Bahamian colors together.   
Annette and Miles made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. 
The location is off the beaten path - so be prepared to venture down a dirt road for a bit .. don’t forget to roll down your windows ; you will hear the birds (and occasional frogs) as they are singing the natural songs of the island.  Annette and /or Miles will greet you once you arrive with friendly smiles and tips to make your our stay comfortable.

A magical oasis

Great experience and relaxing vacation. Myles and Annette greeted us and took care of all our needs. 
We had a lovely cabin overlooking the Atlantic and slept with our door open every night. There was also a private beach with turtles, rays and a swing.
We ate breakfast outside with an ocean view and had some fantastic French press coffee. One morning Annette packed us a to go breakfast and our last night she prepared a private crab and lobster dinner. 
If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful and very private and remote location to relax- Ocean Tally is for you

Private relaxing paradise

Ocean Tally is amazing. Incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The cottages are absolutely lovely and Annette and Miles took fantastic care of us - including our small dog who traveled with us. I wish I was there right now!

As special as it looks

This was our first trip in a year & I can’t sing enough praise for Ocean Tally! We went with 2 other couples to celebrate a couple birthdays & this was absolutely the perfect choice. We each had our own beautifully decorated cottage with a common area in the lighthouse to gather, have breakfast (delicious) & wind down after exploring the island during the day. 

The setting is absolutely breath-taking; imagine waking up every morning to the sounds of waves crashing & the beautiful sunrise. A short walk to the bay side & you can enjoy the stunning sunset from their private beach or just relax all-day, heaven! 

Annette & Miles provided an unforgettable experience; not only by providing recommendations, arranging water taxis, a private dinner but more over with their friendliness, stories & banter...of which was much appreciated within our group!

Lovely place, recommended by Captain Darrin. Off from the beaten path but a great place to spend the day ot even a few nights with family and friends. Everything about this place makes you feel like a queen for the day.

Ocean Tally is a dream destination. Isolated, peaceful and private. This beautiful secluded boutique hotel is a true jewel, and its owners are the friendliest hosts we have ever met.

As Good As It Gets

Ocean Tally is a beautiful, secluded little piece of paradise! My husband and I were looking for a romantic, quiet beach getaway for our anniversary and we have been all over the Caribbean, both on cruises and in hotels. We didn’t want the hustle and bustle of traffic and travelers, we wanted to enjoy each other. THIS is the place!! Perfectly placed individual cottages atop beautifully landscaped cliffs overlooking the ocean allow the sunrise to gently wake you through the glass doors. Annette and Miles couldn’t do more to make you feel at home! From the scrumptious breakfasts served on an outdoor veranda to their infinite knowledge about Eleuthera (and ALL of the Bahamas), they were the perfect hosts. As if that weren’t enough, they also have their own private beach just beaming with ocean life. We swam with sea turtles, starfish, nurse shark, crabs, with kayaks available for more exploring if you’d like. The island itself has been left predominantly, and beautifully, untouched by humans and the people of Eleuthera are the nicest, most welcoming I have ever met in the Caribbean! If you are looking for a laid back, beautiful, secluded, tropical getaway where you are treated like family....this is a MUST!! Thank you Annette and Miles for an anniversary we’ll never forget!! ❤️

Paradise Found!!

Ocean Tally gave us Londoners the perfect escape, time to unwind and most importantly, made us feel human again after an escape from a very busy city lifestyle! Staying in one of the Ocean cottages makes you feel like it's just you and the ocean - all you can hear are the waves pounding the rocks below. It's unlike any other vacation experience we have had so far and probably the best,

The property is premium - beautiful interior design with luxury bed linen, towels and amenities (shower was very good) and breakfast was delicious each day.

The property is well located for day trips and adventures to Harbour Island ($5 for the water taxi) and Spanish Wells (both $5 for the water taxi). You will need a car to get about and we made the most of getting out and adventuring each day, taking an early dinner then coming back to the cottage around 10ish - it was the perfect few days to begin our holiday unwind (we later travelled further south to stay in Governors Harbour for a few days).

Annette and Miles were the most incredible hosts, offering tips of where to go and fascinating stories about the island! They helped make it a very special few days for us and we can't wait to go back again.

You should stay here is you want a more unique and personal experience. It is a welcome opposite of a monstrous resort / package holiday!
